*3rd Person POV*
When Erwin and the others finally exited the building Eren was with them. Suddenly Eren bolted passed them towards the figure on the ground. "Hey Brat get back here" Levi ordered. "It's Cadet L/N!!" Eren said picking up the figure and carefully walking back toward the others L/N's body limp in his arms. They took her somewhere and laid her down. "What happened?" Eren asked. Hange suddenly bolted forward and stripped her of her corset looking her over. As Hange examined her to determine what happened old whip markings shone shiny in the light. Her skin pale from lack of sunlight making the dark bruises that littered her body even darker.
But what drew everyone's attention was the 3 inky dark markings on her right side. The markings were symbols in a different language. Erwin looked at Hange and asked "Do you know what happened?" Hange nodded and said "Adrenaline can be very harsh to one's body. I assume that she's been running on adrenaline ever since the MP's took her. Because of this her body gave out allowing her to finally get the rest she obviously needs. It's a good thing that she managed to unlock the collar around her neck before her body crashed otherwise she would've hanged herself."
"What do the markings mean?" Eren asked. Hange shook her head and said "I'm not sure what they mean. I've never seen symbols like this before." Suddenly Levi spoke up and said "The symbols are part of the slave trader's language. They mean Weak, Defenseless, and Useless. They are rarely given, except to those that have committed the cruelest acts imaginable. But I've never heard of an innocent receiving these marks, perhaps she was paying for someone else's offenses, or maybe she was difficult to control. But no matter what she's done they were intended to permanently remind her that she was forever bound to the fate she was dealt, and that there was no escape."
