Venus popped her head out of the tree line, looking down the beach where four people were wandering around covered in blood. Three of the were motioning for the last one to keep moving, a woman. She was was hunched over and seemed to be muttering to herself. But as the girl looked closer, she recognised all of them. The girl moved out of treeline with Finnick, picking up their weapons before they looked at each other; she left as Finnick turned around.
'Johanna! Scout!' She yelled as she ran up the beach.
'Venus!' The pair replied in unison.
'Johanna!' Finnick called out as he ran up behind the Hereford girl.
'Finnick!' Johanna replied.
The woman laughed out of relief, wrapping the pair of them in a hug before Venus moved to hug Scout. He wrapped her up in a hug, before leaving one arm around her shoulders; turning them to face the rest of the group. Beetee was in the water rinsing himself of blood, while Wiress wandered around talking to herself.
'Well... I got 'em out,' Johanna exclaimed; 'We were all the way deep into the jungle where I thought it was gonna be safe. That's when the rain started. I thought it was water. It turned out to be blood. Hot, thick blood. It was coming down. It was choking us. We were stumbling around, gagging on it, blind.'
Katniss looked at Wiress strangely as she muttered the words, tick tock, over and over, looking like she was dazed. She wandered around, occasionally grabbed Johanna's arm; the woman continually pushing her off.
'That's when Blight hit the force field,' The girl from Seven continued; 'He wasn't much, but he was from home.'
'Tick tock. Tick tock... Tick tock,' Volts exclaimed as she placed a hand on Venus' shoulder.
'What's wrong with her?' Katniss queried.
'She's in shock. Dehydration isn't helping. Do you have fresh water?' Beetee spoke up as he crawled out of the water.
'We can get some.'
Wiress had moved away from Venus by then and had latched onto Johanna again, the woman forcefully trying to get her off. The girl from Ten could easily see the annoyance in her friend's face, her teeth her clenched and her eyes were dark.
'Listen. Stop it!' The woman finally exploded.
She spun them around, throwing Wiress into the sand; the woman sliding across it. That was when Katniss marched up to Johanna, yelling at her; shoving her away.
'Hey! What are you doing?' Johanna yelled as Finnick pulled her off the Girl on Fire.
