'There's come a point where you no longer care
if there's a light at the end of the tunnel or not.
You're just sick of the tunnel.'

Venus sat alone on her balcony that night, Tommy already asleep on the bed inside and Finnick in the shower. She didn't turn her head when someone stepped into her peripheral vision, the brown hair letting her know it was Johanna.
'Ve-' She started.
'Don't,' The girl snapped; 'Spare me the excuses.'
'You seriously can not say that a small part of you doesn't want this too. You'd be lying.'
'And? I'll get my justice when Snow is dead. That's all I want. I don't want to see more people go through what I did. No one deserves to loose their family.'
'They all do.'
'No, Johanna. This isn't right.'
'Scout-'
'Scout wouldn't. And you know it. You only said it to tally the vote, for your sick pleasure.'
'You'll see it the same way tomorrow.'
'No, I won't. And I never will. It's disgusting and it's wrong.'
Johanna sighed, looking out at the dead city below; 'These people need to know what it's like to loose everything.'
'They already have. Look at the city, Johanna. Isn't that enough evidence? Half of them are dead. Some of them are barely living. They've suffered enough. And I know you're hurting, but we won, ok? It's over.'
'It's not over until they've all paid.'
Venus didn't get in another word as Johanna turned and left, leaving her alone once more. She thought over the woman's words, knowing that deep down she did want all of them to suffer, but she knew it wasn't right. Enough lives had been lost.
'You ok?' Finnick's voice brought her from her thoughts.
'I don't know,' She whispered.
'I heard you two speaking.'
'She's hurting, Fin. She's not in the right mind set.'
'But she won't let us help her. That's always something she's done on her own. And hopefully by tomorrow morning, she'll know that she's wrong.'
'I hope so, too.'
She placed her hand on top of Finnick's as he placed it on her shoulder, before he leant down to kiss her hair.
'Come on. Let's get to bed,' He spoke into her brown locks.
Venus let out a sigh and nodded, letting him push her back inside and over to the bed. She slowly stood and sat on the edge of the bed, gripping her husband's forearm as she lifted her legs onto the mattress. Once both her feet were on the bed, she shuffled over to let Finnick in. He pushed her wheelchair to the side and slid in beside her, pulling the covers over them. The man lightly cuddled her from behind, wrapped an arm around her waist as she wrapped her own around her little brother.
'Goodnight, princess,' He whispered before kissing the back of her neck.
She kissed the back of his hand, 'Goodnight, Fin.'

Venus looked at herself in the mirror, her eyes raking over her loose fitting jumpsuit and heels. Her hair was done up nicely, a messy bun sitting in the top half of her hair with the rest being straightened out; her make up done in a natural look. She looked over the visible burns on her neck and her face, all of them bright red and burning. She pulled her jacket on more, her eyes moving to Nyx and Angel who stood behind her.
