Y/n looked around wildly until she was able to recognize the figure. Mark, winded by her crashing into him, had bent over for a second to catch his breath back.

"Huff... y/n... listen to me." Y/n stood straighter and watched impatiently as he caught his breath.

Ohhh I have to go find Jaemin rn this better be quick.

"Yeah, what up Mark." He stood up and stared at her in the eyes. "You shouldn't be with Jaemin." He said with an air of finality.

Y/n blinked, and stared at him for a solid 2 seconds. "Huh?" She said dumbly, not understanding what he meant.

"You shouldn't say yes to Jaemin." Mark said, with the same amount of confidence as before.

Y/n was starting to get annoyed. Jeno was watching from behind Mark as they talked, and she was aware of him hearing every word they spoke. Renjun was off somewhere, no doubt talking to Jaemin.

Jaemin!! I have to meet him now!

"'Mark, I don't think you understand. I've been wanting this for so long." Y/n said, annoyed. Mark gave a small groan and took her by the wrist, dragging her in the opposite direction of where she wanted.

As she resisted, Mark carried on. "No, that's what you thought. I know you tried, you really tried, but in the end, he's not the one for you. You know it." As soon as the last word came out of his mouth, she stopped resisting him.

"W-what do you mean?" She asked softly, not wanting to know what he meant. She kept fidgeting, looking for a way out because she knew Jaemin was waiting for her a short while away.

Mark looked at her with big pleading eyes. "You have to say no. Trust me." Y/n blinked wildly once again.

I don't have time for this!! I have to go!

Mark had her wrist in a tight clench and she couldn't get him to let go. "Mark! For gods sake I ca-"

She stopped abruptly at the loud footsteps coming from the opposite end of the hall.

She tried to twist around to see the person, but Mark's grip wouldn't let her. "Oh my god." She could hear Mark mutter under his breath, staring at the figure behind her.
