"Sooo.... what's up?" Mark asked awkwardly.

They were sitting in a large open area, outdoors. Mark had pulled both the girls through the mall, and past the parking lot. Both girls who were too bewildered to do anything, just followed him. He then led them to an entrance which opened into a public garden.

Y/n had been here all the time, admiring the flowers and ponds all around, but the place that Mark led her was a place she or Jisoo had never seen before.

Before sitting down, Mark explained how he had helped out in the garden before, to earn money over the summer. He discovered this secret area of the garden, which originally was going to be opened up as another part of the garden but wasn't. It was closed off to the public, not by sign but by a large covering of moss and overgrown plants that blocked the entrance.

"I never understood why the closed off this area, probably didn't have enough materials, but I like coming to this place to think. It's a nice change of scenery, dontcha think? I like how the plants had overgrown and stuff" Mark said.

As Mark rambled on, y/n and Jisoo looked around. Y/n did really like the sheer wildness of the place, while everywhere else was cut and organized nicely, this place had overgrown flowers, long grass, and ivy climbing the walls. Some of the sunlight was cut off from entering this area by the trees, but it was enough to see each other pretty well.

"Now," marks voiced pierced her thoughts and she turned to him, bleary eyed. "Is this about..." he hesitated, flickering his eyes to Jisoo and then to her and then back to the plants.

A long pause dragged out. "Do you know who this is about?" Y/n finally said, staring at him, voice shaking. Jisoo watched silently.

He stared at her, growing red. "It's jaemin isn't it?" He saw how y/n stiffened hearing his name, but Mark continued on.

"No offense, but it was really obvious." Mark said, rubbing his neck in the way jaemin always did. "Almost everyone knew..." Mark couldn't look her in the eye.

Y/n, embarrassed at what Mark had said, got up suddenly. A surge of anger reached her, coming from her humiliation. "It's more than that. And if you'll excuse me..." she stormed off, leaving Mark in the room. Jisoo looked at Mark, shocked. She muttered a quick apology and good bye, and ran after y/n.

Mark sat in the overgrown garden by himself, head in his hands. How could he be so dumb? She was literally crying and he didn't help at all. A large sigh came from him. He didn't know y/n had came back into the room to apologize for her quick actions.

As soon as she saw him, head in his hands. She ran off. She didn't understand why. The girl asked herself why she did that, as she ran from the garden, away from Jisoo,  and especially away from Mark. She couldn't come to an answer.

A/N: didn't feel like this was a good as I could of done, so sorry for this chapter😅.
