Pippa's POV

I laid in my bed wondering why I had even went out with my ex in the first place. Why was it so hard to find decent guys anymore? Why couldn't I find someone who actually liked me for me? Maybe I should just take a break. Things would be good right? Worrying about just me, and only me. Not have to worry about how some guy is going to feel if I wore something they didn't like. Maybe I should just quit guys all together. All my gay friends seemed so much happier when they broke ties with the opposite gender. I never really did experience the whole experimenting thing in college either. I was so busy focusing on my theatre things... I pulled my phone from its charger and scrolled through my messages. I found the one I wanted and clicked on it. Hopefully she'll have some answers for me...

"So you're saying you're going to try dating girls? Pip... I mean, I get it, but you're not just going to wake up one day and say you're gay..." My friend, Stella, laughed. "Why did you break up with Tyler? He was... Terrible." She laughed even harder at her own words while I was rolling my eyes.

"Stella I wanted advice not for you to mock me." I sighed. "I just want to see if it's for me. I never got to in college like you did." I frowned. I heard her laugh and I couldn't help but smile.

"I was experimenting in high school Pip. What you saw was me going on dates." She explained.

"Well whatever! Just please help me. I don't know what to do or how I would even know." I groaned. Stella explained how she felt when she began to like girls and how she slowly went into dating more girls than guys to make sure she felt that way. I didn't quite understand how she went about dating since she had more courage than I did when it came to asking someone out.

"Do you have anyone in mind that you would date?" Stella asked quickly.

"No." I answered.

"I'll set you up with a single flamingo I know. Alright? She's pretty chill and doesn't know much about the whole broadway theatre stuff. So it'll be like a really big fresh start for you." She said. I smiled at the thought of having a fresh start, but a blind date? Didn't those usually go terrible? "Is that alright?" She asked.

"Yeah... I'm not too fond of the whole blind date thing... But I'll do it. When?" I sighed into the phone. We agreed to meet today as a group of friends, just to see if I would actually get along with her first. At least I'll have another thing to look forward to today...

Renee had come into the theatre after I did, causing me to jump in my seat since she grabbed my shoulders.

"You look dead. Didn't you sleep?" I laughed.

"I have a young one at home. No sleep for me." She sighed. I frowned and rubbed her arm. "Thank you." She smiled.

"You're welcome." I smiled. Jasmine showed up a little while later, looking flawless already. "Dang Jasmine. Who are you trying to impress?" I laughed.

"I look normal!" She protested while looking down at her clothes. I shrugged and looked down at my phone Stella had started texting me details about where to meet her and her friend. I was nervous but I couldn't let that get in the way of rehearsals. "How are you feeling today by the way?" She asked while sitting next to me.

"Better. I felt really good when I threw all of his garbage out in the hall of the apartment." I smirked. Her cheeks turned a bit pink while she laughed. I smiled at her happiness and went back to texting Stella.

"Already found a new one?" She whispered.

"No... Well I don't know. One of my friends is setting me up on a blind date with her friend today..." I shrugged. She nodded, but looked a little upset with my answer. I was confused... But maybe she was just worried for me? I didn't know. So I shrugged it off.

"Alright guys! We're going to work on the opening number again today to make sure we have it down!" Lac, our musical genius, announced. Everyone flipped their binders open to the first page and we began vocal warm ups.

Stella was meeting me outside the theatre to make sure I wasn't going to bail on her. She was a pretty average girl. Dark brown hair, blue eyes and was about as tall as I was.

"Long time no see." Stella mocked.

"Nice to see you too." I laughed while hugging her.

"So, my friend's name is Penelope. She's going to meet us at the cafe. That cool?" She said while pulling out her phone. I nodded and she pulled up Snapchat.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

"Sending her a snap so she knows what you look like. Duh." She said while taking a picture of us. I nodded and hoped Stella would get a picture of Penelope for me.. I needed to know... "She'll send one back. She usually does." She shrugged. "Lets go!" She said while linking her arm with mine.

We took some short cuts, cutting through alleys and running through traffic like morons. Stella had grown up in the city so I was glad someone was there to teach me the ropes. We got to the cafe and she didn't see her friend.

"Of course we beat her." She laughed. I watched her pull out her phone and saw she had a Snapchat notification. I smiled and watched her open it. "There." She said while showing me. Penelope was really pretty... She had dark brown eyes, long, black, curly hair, and had tan skin. I could feel my cheeks get hot just looking at the picture. "Oh.." Stella teased. "You're already blushing!" She whispered.

"Shut up!" I gasped.
