Jasmine's POV

"I just hate when that happens." Pippa frowned.

"Well now you know not to ride your bike in the rain." I said while cleaning up a cut on her cheek. It hadn't snowed a lot, but it did decide to rain on us. Pippa thought it would be a good idea to ride her bike, but she ended up falling right off of it, trying to dodge a child who had ran in the cycle lane.

"Well I would've been fine if that kid hadn't ran into the road. Where were the parents?!" She yelled. "Ow!" She hissed.

"Well! You stop being a baby." I said while putting a bandaid over the cut. "There. It's all clean and has antibiotic ointment on it. It shouldn't get infected." I smiled while holding her hand. She pouted and looked up at me. "What?" I laughed.

"It hurts." She whined. I frowned and kissed her cheek. "Thank you." She smiled. "Ow!" She said while grabbing her cheek. "This should be fun... Singing with a cut on my cheek." She stood up from her chair and started rummaging through her bag. I frowned and wrapped my arms around her torso. Sometimes I wish we could just come out to everyone but we had to keep everything a secret to make sure people were going to be accepting of us. Yeah it was really weird that a couple would be playing sisters, but that's for only one act. The other half I'm forcing her stage husband to cheat on her with me. Oh joy. Because that'll blow over well too....

"Maybe we can be late going down there." I smiled. She laughed and looked at me through the mirror.

"Lac and Tommy would kill us." She scoffed. "Plus what would we do up here? We don't have the best lock on our door." She said while pointing at the dressing room door. It was barely screwed in and kept together. I frowned and rested my head on her shoulder. "When we start this whole musical, it's going to be so hard to even breathe." She frowned.

"I know. Lin has been hyping it up forever. A lot of people are doubting it though... History and rapping?" I laughed.

"You gotta admit. He's got balls to do it this way." She said while zipping up her bag. I nodded and hugged her tighter. I didn't want to let go of her. "We have to head down before they send someone for us." She whispered. I pouted at her, which got me a few kisses before going down to meet with the rest of the cast.

"Jesus Pip. That's a big cut." Daveed said while looking at the size of the bandaid I put on it.

"Yeah... Thank goodness Jasmine has a first aid kit." She laughed. "I would still be bleeding if it weren't for her." She said while looking at me. I felt myself blush a bit but I smiled.

"It's what friends are for." I said quietly. Daveed smiled and dragged me off to his little corner with everyone. I hated not sitting with Pip, but I had to act like 'just friends' for now.

We sat in the dressing rooms with our wardrobe helpers, each of us getting to try on our costumes for the first time. I got giddy when I saw mine and put it on. They would have to alter it in some places but I was super excited that I couldn't stand still.

"You have to chill Jas." Renee laughed. I frowned and saw Pip standing completely still in her dress while the girl put pins all through her dress.

"I forgot how small your chest was." The girl laughed nervously.

"It's okay." Pip smiled. I'll admit, I didn't like that girl being so up close to Pip like that. She was my lady. No one else's. The lady finally finished putting pin's into Pippa's dress near the front and went to work on the back. He girl helping me with mine didn't have to make anything drastically smaller but the sleeves needed to be fixed.

"There. You're all done." She said while helping me out of my first dress. Pip was still getting her beige dress pinned while I was already moving onto my second dress. Renee was still in her first dress too while I was the only one making fast progress.

"Alright, now step out of it very carefully." Pippa's helper said while helping her out of the dress. That meant her other dresses were going to need so many pins in it.... She sat at the vanity while her helper did some quick stitches into the first dress so she could have more pins for the next dress. Renee had the same problem too.

"Maybe they'll have everything right by tomorrow?" Renee frowned.

"Hopefully. I'm freezing just sitting here in this." Pippa said while gesturing to her only in the corset and leggings. I wasn't complaining though. She looked really hot in just that outfit to me. Renee nodded while getting up to grab her jacket. Pippa reached over and grabbed hers as well.

"This one fits a bit better." My helper smiled. It was a yellow dress for Schuyler sisters. I smiled and spun around in it. "Oh yeah. Much better." She laughed.

"Try this one. It should fit you perfectly." Pip's helper said while holding up a simple dress. She took off her jacket and slid the dress on over herself. "Oh yes. Perfect." She laughed.

"I look like I'm going to bed." Pippa joked while spinning in her dress. "This one is for...?" She asked.

"The last number." Her helper answered.

"Oh. I like it!" She smiled. I couldn't help but laugh at her enthusiasm since it was contagious.

When we finally finished, Pippa and I walked to the subway station. We took different trains since we lived in opposite directions. I hated this part of my day. Having to say goodbye until tomorrow.

"You can always stay at my place." Pippa offered. "My roommate is out of town. And my bed is big enough for two." She winked.

"I don't know..." I smirked.

"Please! I can't be trusted alone after today!" She gasped.

"Alright! I will. But I'll have to swing by later. I need to pack clothes." I said while walking towards my train. She frowned as I walked away from her. I wished I could kiss her cheek goodbye, but I couldn't. We couldn't risk anything in public.
