Pippa's POV
We had sat down with our wedding planner, that we eventually hired, and made sure everything was under wraps. Including from our closest friends. We didn't want to risk any locations or anything leaking for this. We wanted a private wedding with our friends and families. We didn't need any random strangers showing up. Jasmine and I had posted about our engagement and it made the whole Hamilton fandom explode. People arguing under the photos and eventually we had to put out a PSA for people to calm down with the yelling over the internet.
"What is that?" I pointed. Leslie was walking around with his phone and all I saw were bubbles popping up all over the place.
"Facebook live." He answered.
"Weird..." I laughed. Anthony was intrigued though. I walked away to my hiding place before curtain and found Jasmine. She was wrapped up in a little blanket and sitting in my chair. "Hey you." I smiled.
"Hi." She laughed while getting up. I wrapped my arms around her and she rested her head on my chest. "I feel so drained." She sighed.
"I know.. But tomorrow is our day off." I smiled. Leslie came back with his phone and laughed at us.
"Look at them! Look at how cute they are!" He smiled.
"She's sleeping." I whispered.
"While standing up?" He asked. I nodded and watched him walk away from us. Jasmine lifted her head up and we burst into a fit of laughter. The things we do just to get privacy.
"I really don't like it when you have to kiss Lin." She pouted.
"I don't like it when you kiss him either." I frowned. It was truth. I didn't like her kissing him on stage. It was terrible enough that he had ruined our lives at the beginning of our relationship. We had finally gotten to a level playing field and no more leaks were being made about us. Thank goodness.
After the show, we were going to be charted out to DC because we were so amazing I guess. We got on the bus and I sat near the window while Jasmine sat next to me. Renee sat in front of us laughing about something that Andrew told her. Jasmine moved the arm rest between us and curled up into my side.
"Are you really that tired?" I laughed.
"I have a headache." She frowned.
"Aw.. Did you take any medicine for it?" I asked. She shook her head and covered herself with a blanket. I felt terrible that she was in pain and that everyone had this enormous amount of energy still left over from the show. I knew when we got to DC it was going to be a whole day to sightsee, then the next day to perform, then come back.
It was a nice long drive, but not too long. When we got there we were immediately put into hotel rooms so we could rest properly, but about two thirds of us ran out into the city to become tourists.
"Let's go." I smiled while pulling on Jasmine's arm. "I want to go see some things Eliza helped with." I giggled. She didn't budge from the bed and I frowned. "Jas?" I frowned.
"I still have a headache." She mumbled.
"Do you want to stay here?" I asked quietly. She nodded slowly and buried herself deep in the covers. I kissed her head and decided to venture out with Renee and Chris.
"Jasmine not coming?" He asked.
"She has a headache." I frowned.
"Poor girl." Renee frowned.
We went to so many places. I couldn't even believe we were in DC. But I was happy. I felt very at ease oddly enough. I had wished Jasmine had come with us but I wanted her to rest. I also didn't plan on staying out too late with everyone either.
"Guess who's calling??" Anthony yelled while holding my phone. I took it from him since we were all sitting together in a dinner. I answered my phone and smiled.
"Hey lovely." I smiled.
"Hey.." She sounded so tired. "Are you coming back soon?" She asked.
"After I eat. Why?" I asked. I felt something hit my face and I saw a French fry sitting on the floor next to me. I saw Anthony laughing quietly so I threw one of my fries at him.
"I just miss you.." She sniffed.
"What's wrong??" I asked quickly. Now she sounded like she was crying... What would make her cry?!
"I just had a really bad nightmare... Please hurry." She whispered.
"I promise I'll be quick." I frowned. I felt another fry hit me and I groaned. "Stop that!" I whined.
"You're not my parent!" He laughed.
"Technically I am! Now stop or I'm telling your father!" I threatened. Anthony stopped, which made Chris burst out in laughter. "I'm sorry my son is throwing food at me." I said quickly.
"It's fine." She laughed a little. At least I got her to laugh. "Just please get back soon."
"I promise I will." I said before hanging up. I put my phone back down and felt another fry hit me. I glared at Anthony and he pointed at Leslie. "I swear we work with children." I laughed with Renee.
After we ate I made my way back to the hotel with Renee and I hurried into my room. Jasmine was still in bed but hugging the pillow from my side of the bed. I set my things down, kicked off my shoes and climbed into bed with her. I pulled the pillow away and pulled her close.
"I'm here." I whispered.
"It felt so real..." She frowned.
"It's okay. I'm here. I'm here." I said while moving her hair from her face. She was still crying... I felt terrible for not leaving as soon as she called. "It's going to be okay."
"I'm sorry for ruining your day..." She frowned.
"You didn't ruin it. I didn't plan on staying out too late with them." I smiled. "Right now this is probably the best part of my day. Being able to lay in bed with you." I whispered. She let out a little smile and I rested my forehead against hers. "It's going to be okay." I repeated. I knew I kept saying it but she needed to hear it.
"Thank you." She finally said after a few seconds of silence. I kissed her and pulled her closer so she could get comfortable enough for a proper cuddle. I didn't mind leaving a little early to be with her. Especially if she really needs me. She was the love of my life.
