Chapter Eighteen

"I can't believe you're still not saying anything about you and Normani" Dinah says as ride together in Kehlani's car to Keith's pool party. "We know something is going on especially with the way you guys were all over each other last night." Lauren shrugs her shoulders, "Lo, really right now?"

"Come on, Lo." Kehlani says getting Lauren to look at her.

"Please" Ally says trying to look innocent. Lauren starts smiling,

"Look, we're not dating. We-" Dinah interrupts her,

"So yall fucking" Lauren rolls her eyes, " aye tear that pussy up Lo."

"No. We're not" Lauren says shaking her head with no smile present, "We're friends." Dinah pouts as Kehlani parks the car before turning around and narrowing her eyes suspiciously at her,

"But you do like her? A lot?" Kehlani says as looks at her. Lauren couldn't look away since Kehlani was intimidating her. She should really be become a FBI agent or Prosecutor, "There's no denying that so don't even try" Lauren nods, "And she likes you" Lauren nods again.

"So what's stopping you?" Ally asks her while turning in her seat to look at her as well. Normani.

"Probably Normani" Dinah says flinging her hand up like it was obvious. "You're letting me down, Ralph" Lauren rolls her eyes as the girls snicker at her.

"Funny. Now, since we talked about my love life. Let's just chill and get lit at power's pool party" Lauren says quickly getting out the car as the rest follow.

"You're not getting out of this conversation. It's just that this conversation is put on hold" Kehlani says letting Lauren know that she wasn't duck this shit yet. I already know that lawd. Lauren nods as they all walk into Keith's party.

"Let's find a spot first before they're all taken" Ally suggests and they all agreed before walking and looking for open spots. "Hey, let's go before people take those lounge chairs." Ally points while they quickly walk over to lay claim on them. There was a lot of people at the party but Lauren only wanted to see one person. She laid down on the lawn chair and took her phone out to text before feeling a presence besides her.

"Why are you so damn nosy ?" Lauren says with a smile looking at Dinah,

"Maybe because I want you to tell me the truth." Lauren rolled her eyes behind her glass, she turned her hat backward  so that it sat backwards on her head. "We're best friends, Lo. We tell each other everything. I know when you're lying to me." Lauren kept a smile on her face, "Ralph" Lauren laughs at little,

"Seriously, once I have everything sorted I'll let you know." Dinah glances away for a second, "I promise" Dinah looks back at her and then nods, "Good." Dinah rolls her eyes as Lauren moved her hand like she was shooing her. Dinah moves back to her chair before taking off her shirt and getting ready to tan. Lauren feels her phone vibrate and then looks down,
