Chapter Twenty-Nine

Lauren told Dinah everything that happened with Normani as Dinah apologized to her saying that she did everything she could in order to distract Zendaya but then she got distracted when Zendaya told her she wanted to go back to her place among other things. Lauren just rolled her eyes at her since Dinah seemed to be getting a little something and Lauren was just being teased like no other. She woke up early to go to her practice and worked hard in order to get back where she was before she missed practice for the couple of days. Practice was over around 10 but they had to stay later in order to work on their exchanges resulting in them staying until 12. Lauren was grateful that everyone was focused and everyone's chemistry was still there especially Becky and Selena. Thank God for that Hallelujah Praise the Lort Amen. Lauren drove back home a little tired and was going to take a shower when she got there before going back to sleep. She walked in her house to see her mom and dad in the kitchen laughing at each other, "Hey Kiddo, how was practice" Lauren flashed a tired smile,

"It was good. We seem to be on point during practice but we can't let up now" Lauren said getting her dad to nod at her,

"Good that's good. You want a sandwich?" Lauren shook her head,

"No sir. I'm gonna take a shower and then catch up on some sleep before tonight" She wiggled his eyebrows at her getting Lauren to laugh, "Yes dad. Normani will be there" Lauren shook her head as she went to the stairs to take her shower. Lauren sent Normani a quick text letting her know that she was home and that she could come over whenever she felt like it since Normani was going to get ready at her house along with Dinah. She took off her clothes before heading into her bathroom to take a shower. The waters hits her tense pale skin and soothes her aches and pain as she takes her time lathering her body and hair. She rinses off before taking the towel and drying herself. She hears her door open and figures it's her mom bringing her fruit as she wraps a towel around her before hearing the door close. She walks out rubbing her eyes then heads to her dresser to get a sportsbra and a pair of boy short . She lets the towel slip as she pulls on her dark grey sportbra. She dries her back from the water droplets from her hair before wrapping her hair up in the towel.

"Mmm" Lauren's lips twitch up as she knows who is in her room. She slides on her boyshorts before turning around and drying her hair. "I know where your tattoo is now" Normani smirks at her getting Lauren nod, as she dries her hair. It was only a matter of time. She was secretly loving how Normani's eyes roamed her body while she ate some of the fruit, "I think it's sexy to put it there" she said before popping a grape in her mouth. Lauren smirks as she tosses her towel in her laundry bin while walking over to Normani who was laying on her bed with a plate full of fruit. Her gaze trailed over Normani who was wearing sweats and tanks. Those are coming off. "Your mom thought that you wouldn't mind if I came up" Lauren nodded giving her a soft kiss as she grabbed the plate then moved away and started eating some of the fruit before placing it on her night stand.

"I don't mind." She sat on her the bed close to her before getting an idea, " I want my dance..now" she leans towards Normani with a small smile playing on her lips,

"With your parents downstairs, beautiful?" Lauren licked her lips before glancing over at her alarm clock,

"I know my parents are gone, babe. They had somewhere to be at 1. You know that" Normani did know that but she didn't think they left yet. "So, is that a yes?" Normani smiled before nodding,

"Yes ma'am." She slid over to the side of the bed. "But I wanna see your tattoo up close" Lauren nodded before standing right next to Normani. Normani leaned forward and pulled her cheekies down on her right side to get a better look at Lauren's tattoo. It was placed lower on her hip bone, a little to the side. It was a small anchor tilted a little with a rope wrapping around the anchor before forming words underneath it, "Refuse to sink" Normani said before lightly touching it. Lauren looked over her shoulder at Normani, "I really like it" Lauren nodded, before moving to sit at the foot of the bed.
