Walking Blindfolded While a Vulture is Stalking

The door was opened when Elmo entered it to surprise his family. Skipping with joy, he dropped his bag and ran towards the dining room. The young Elmo acted like a child proud with his new balloon.

“Mom! Pop! Elizabeth!” the young Elmo excitedly cried, “I am home, sorry I am late my friends and I had a little celebration…” he added.

“Moe, why late? You could have dine with us, you could have saved us!” Moe’s mom ghastly said.

Elmo was immediately awakened; covered with sweat and wheezing heavily. It was still dark and silent but because of his dream, he decided not to return to slumber.

“Argh! What an awful night! My head’s pounding like a drum.” Elmo uttered.

Feeling totally uncomfortable, he took his phone and called Jean. After a couple of successive tries…

“HELLO?!” Jean answered irritated.

“Jean! It’s me Moe!”

“Have you checked your clock? It’s 4 in the morning man, what is it?”

“Did I disturb you?”

“Isn’t it obvious?!”

“Great! Thanks bro! That made my day!”

“You devil! Hey! Hey!” Jean screamed.

Elmo’s POV

“Teehee!” He always falls for that. Elmo laughs hard. That will piss him off for a week! Elmo sighed. If life can be changed by a simple prank… Better get going… I have to repay that kiss last night.

At the Office

“Who brought these roses and why are they on my table?” Julie asked.

“It’s from Sir Elmo, Ma’am.” The secretary answered.

“Huh?” Julie blushed “I-I see. Thank you.”

Julie’s POV

Flowers huh? He may not look like one but he sure is a sweet and cute person. Julie reads the letter attached to the roses “A payment for the kiss last night. Now we are quits.” Oh, this is shameful! Why did I do it? But it seems that he didn’t take it seriously. Quits… I know that I’ve just met him but everything about him seems to be outstanding. He is innocent looking, calm, and mysterious. Of course everyone will fall for that. Why Moe?

“Ma’am there’s also a visitor waiting for you at the receiving room. She says that you can attend to her on your most available time.” Julie’s secretary added.

“Huh? Who could that be? For sure she isn’t a client.”

Curious of whom the visitor is, Julie went to the receiving room and was happily astonished.

“Aunt Bianca?” Julie gladly shouted.

“Oh my pretty princess Julie! (Kisses her on the cheek) how’s my princess?” Bianca greeted.

“What are you doing here Auntie?”

“Just checking you my dear, besides, I miss this company after I left it. I miss the days being Ma’am Cherry’s P.A.”

“Yeah, I miss those days too.”

“So how’s Cherry Ludovice’s heir? For sure she left you a lot of things to do didn’t she? That old friend of mine, even in afterlife, she never does her paper works.”
