Broken Ties

At Cesare’s Estate

“Hohoho! Do my eyes deceive me? Mr. Magalona! What do I owe you to honor me with your visit?” Cesare welcomed.

“You owe me more explanations old man. There are a lot of things I want to clarify.” Elmo bitterly answered.

“Very well, ladies kindly entertain my guest. I’ll be back in a moment.” Cesare ordered.

Cesare went back to his room to change his clothes. Elmo waited for the old man in the sofa and was approached by a woman.

“I told you we’d be seeing each other again cutie.” Patricia winked.

“Patricia? What are you doing here?” Elmo surprisingly reacted.

“I adopted her!” Cesare proudly interfered “And so as with the other girls you see. I offer them money and power and in exchange, they please me with their youthfulness; you can have them also if you decide to work for me.” Cesare smirked.

“Cesare, can I have Mr. Magalona?” Patricia butted in.

“Sure!” Cesare told Patricia, then he faced Elmo “You seem popular to girls Mr. Magalona, someone already made reservations.”

“Sheesh! I am not interested. Let’s cut the chase… why do you want to destroy PSJ? Why not the no. 2 company of Australia, Hercon or the 3rd one?” Elmo shoot.

“As expected of Mr. Magalona, Straightforward! I wanted you to work for me and you know how much I desire that to happen. So as a sign of courtesy and trust I will tell you the truth. I am not interested with other companies here in AU. What I only want is to bring down Exodus Ludovice and Julie Anne San Jose.”

“Huh? But I thought you want to be Australia’s number no. 1 Tycoon?”

“Oh, it’s just a front. What I really want is to see those two suffer like hell. I wanted them to suffer the way I suffered. Julie’s Mother, Anna Marie, was my wife. But she betrayed me and had relations with another man. The fruit of their affair was Julie. Just imagine, Mr. Magalona, the shame that her mother has given me. I of the Castracani Familia, known in Italia, was betrayed by my beloved wife and that insult remains as long as Julie is alive.” Cesare said with rage.

“Your pride is none of my business Mr. Castracani…”

“Indeed, but now that you know who ‘killed’ your family, it seems we have now a common enemy. With your talents and my power, you can avenge your family and I can vindicate my pride.”

“So why do you want me to work for you, if you said so yourself that you have power?”

“Because Elmo, you are the only one who can give Julie enough pain same as that of what her family has given me. We are both thirsty of vengeance and I know you understand how I feel.”

Elmo paused for a moment and contemplated.

“So do we have an understanding now Mr. Magalona? Will you join me in achieving our desired vengeance and move forward? We may differ in age but we are very much alike.” Cesare grinned.

“After I’m able to avenge my family, what will happen next?”

“You’ll have everything that you ever dreamed of. I promise you the past; I guarantee you your future. You just have to work for me in the present.”

“Very well, it seems we now have an agreement.”

“Excellent!”

“Not so fast old man. I need some money. You see, I cannot live with Julie anymore… I wanted to start detached from her, a life where she wouldn’t have any hold from me.”
