Julie’s POV
I wanted to cry! I wanted to shout! I trusted him, I showed him my vulnerability… what is it that he can’t move forward? Why he doesn’t want me? It’s too painful. I really thought I was able to change Moe by just being true to him. After last night I’ve been yearning for his embraces.
“Ma’am, Mr. Magalona is waiting for you outside the building.” Julie’s secretary informed.
“Okay, kindly tell him that I’ll be there in a jiffy.” Julie ordered.
Elmo’s POV
The other night was indeed a surprise, such spur of the moment. I made another fatal mistake. I decided with haste and acted through my emotions… God I can still feel her skin on my hands and smell the fragrance of her hair, Damn it! Get hold of yourself! Argh! My head hurts again! Why this happens often? After years of zealously hunting down those responsible for my misfortune, with just one night with Julie, I felt like everything was drained out from me. I shouldn’t have done it, I shouldn’t been open to her!… but she is so honest and true, I… I… Argh! I can’t think straight…
“Sorry to keep you waiting, I was looking for some papers that might help us later.” Julie apologized.
“Its okay, no worries.” Elmo replied.
“Moe are you alright? You look pale and sweating buckets.” Julie worriedly asked.
“Just headache, maybe I over used my head again.” Elmo forcibly joked.
Julie took her handkerchief and wiped Elmo’s sweat and handed him a tablet “Here drink this, it will lessen the pain.”
“Thanks. Ahmm… let’s get going, we can’t afford to lose a big client today.” Elmo hurriedly stated.
“Yeah!” Julie tried to sound excited.
The two drove their way to Hilton Sydney where they would be waiting for the CEO of SeaFrance.
“Like what I’ve said yesterday, SeaFrance called on 3 insurance companies in Asia and Australia; Fujima Inc, Waldrich and PSJ. I also learned that since SeaFrance plans to insure all their vessels and tankers, after several ship accidents and piracies that occurred recently, the two other insurance companies will be sending their aces to ensure their success in convincing SeaFrance. Of course we wouldn’t let that happen won’t we?” Elmo confidently asked.
Julie smiled and said, “Yeah, besides you’ll help us right?”
“Of course!” Elmo assured “But this time it is you who will face the CEO as our sign of dedication and courtesy to the matter. Don’t worry you’ll do good.” Elmo added and smiled at her.
“Do you trust me?” Julie surprisingly enquired.
“Of course! I know you can do this!”
Julie’s POV
Elmo, that’s not what I meant. God I can’t say it! What happened to the honest Julie yesterday? Get hold of yourself Julie! I still have a deal to secure! Elmo trusts me in this we shouldn’t fail.
“Julie?”
“Hmm?”
“Relax, now you’re the one who looks pale. Don’t tell me you are trying to compete with my expression a while ago?”
They both laughed.
“Moe…”
“Well look at that, here we are!” Elmo interrupted.
