The Real Heir to the Throne

“Here’s a cup of hot chocolate Ma’am Cherry.” Bianca approached the lady.

“Thanks Bianca. By the way, where is Julie? Has she completed the paper works I’ve assigned to her?” She asked.

“Julie is currently with your Son, Ma’am. Exodus guided Julie in doing the paper works, he said he wanted it to be finished a day before your allotted deadline so that it will still give him time to look into the possible risks of the drafted contracts.” Bianca explained.

“I see, it’s good to know that even if Julie isn’t related to Exodus and I by blood, my son still treats her like his real younger sister. I am really proud of my son. Maybe soon he will be sitting on this chair. You know how Exodus has been dreaming for this position ever since I brought him here when he was still a kid.”

“Indeed… sounds like you have already decided who will inherit you Ma’am Cherry.”

“Honestly, not yet. I am still at the fence on this matter. Indeed Exodus is the man whom everyone is wooing for but I am also worried of Julie’s future. Though she isn’t a Ludovice, she still grew up in my care…”

“Then let her change her surname and be a Ludovice.”

“It’s too late for that.”

“So you are saying that you are also considering ‘ little princess Julie’ to inherit this company? Isn’t she too young for the Job?”

“Age is just a number Bianca; I also believe that Julie is capable.”

“Hey sis! How’s the contract goin’?” Exodus asked.

“I am still confused on what mother wanted in this contract with Ironwood Corporation, I don’t want to mess this up. It would be a shame on her part.”

 “Don’t worry, I am sure you can draft a good contract.” Exodus grinned.

“Thanks but promise me you’ll check it again before I give it to Atty. Olivar okay?”

“Ayt!”

Julie was one of Cherry Ludovice’s personal legal counsels after Julie has successfully hurdled the bar and landed 6th place. Exodus, on the other hand was given the position of Junior Business Consultant after he graduated from his doctorate business course in Yale. However, even if the two are very close to the President, she assigned them to a position under Atty. Jean Olivar, the IVP then, so as to teach them how to handle the company hands-on.”

Under Cherry Ludovice’s leadership, PSJ Corp. was one of the leading insurance companies in the Australian and Southeast Asian Countries. The Business world often refer to her as “the visionary of insurance policies” die to her innovative policies which are fair to both the company and their clients and partners. However, due to her deteriorating health condition, the question of who will inherit her title is also being asked whenever Cherry’s name is mentioned. Because of this, Exodus took the challenge of being the “Rightful heir to PSJ’s throne”. His efforts soon pay off and people saw him as a promising PSJ President.

One day, Cherry collapsed on one of her Shareholder’s meeting and was confined in the hospital. After the diagnosis, the doctors informed the family members of her critical condition.

“I’m sorry to inform you but her health was deteriorating. Another attack and I’m afraid it’ll be fatal.” Cherry’s attending Physician informed Exodus, Julie and Bianca.
