Bloodstained Speeches and Clean Hands

Julie’s POV

Why do I feel nervous right now? Why do I feel like Moe’s confidence was connected to what just occurred today? Argh! I am just tired of thinking a lot of things. But why is it that the tragedy seems to be too much of a coincidence? I mean, why now? Oh God please tell me that my suspicions aren’t true! Tell me that I am just over thinking things again. Moe is not that kind of person!

“Mr. Fell may I say something?” Elmo asked.

“Yes you may.” Mr. Fell permitted.

“We are all sorry for Mr. Ludovice’s loss. However, like what he said, the pioneers are just going to present the background of their company. So it means that he will present the actual policies. As a true businessman, I believe that this kind of circumstances wouldn’t affect the ‘effectiveness’ of his business charms. Well, unless Mr. Ludovice couldn’t handle it alone.”

“Mr. Magalona I don’t think that is a good idea since Mr. Ludovice…” Fell’s secretary joined in.

“No! I can still do it myself.” Exodus answered immediately.

“Are you sure Mr. Ludovice?” Mr. Fell asked.

“Yes, I am.”

Gotcha Exodus! Your pride will bring you down! Elmo told himself.

As Exodus walked to the center of the stage, Elmo whispered to Exodus as the latter passed by.

“Better brace yourself!” Elmo whispered.

Agitated, Exodus wasn’t able to focus that much suspecting that the person responsible for the death of his two comrades was sitting in front of him. But, he can’t do anything stupid since he is in front of his ‘would-be’ clients and he still has no proof to prove his doubts.

“This is my first time to see him like that.” Julie noticed.

“I bet he is in a dilemma right now.” Elmo Grinned.

“What do you mean Moe?”

“Ahmm, well, it’s hard to think straight whenever someone you need left you unexpectedly on the last minute.” Elmo immediately answered. Phew that was close! I better keep my comments first. Elmo thought.

Exodus proceeded with his presentation of their insurance policies and as to the company’s plan for SeaFrance.

“…Waldrich Corporation itself can provide services almost equal to that of Lloyd’s whom will join us lately…” Exodus continually discussed.

“Pardon? What did you say about Lloyds’?” Mr. Fell butted in.

“Ahmm… that they will be joining us lately.” Exodus repeated.

“Why? Did you invite them also Mr. Ludovice? Didn’t we tell you that the reason why we are here is because we left Lloyds’ already.” Mr. Fell explained.

“But I thought… then whose extra chairs are those for?” Exodus surprisingly asked.

“Mr. Ludovice those chairs are for my fellow shareholders in Fujima, for the Fujima-PSJ tie up.” Abe joined in.

“What?” Exodus was confused.

Two Days Earlier

“Julie if we will be competing with Waldrich, for sure we will be facing a lot of trouble securing the deal with SeaFrance. Furthermore, PSJ isn’t that established yet after its downfall months ago. Initially, we really can’t compete against them.” Elmo explained.
