Truth

When the lord sends...

Jai is unable to rest she tosses and turns ; as she sits up in her bed she is greeted by a bright white light...

"Lord is that you?" 

"I have a special plan for you my child"

"It's  1'o clock in the morning lord, can't you check me tomorrow?"

"I  have chosen you for a purpose Jai"

 "Why me lord, like seriously why me ?"

"I have a lot to teach you little one; you have wings to earn.."

"Wings?"

"It'll all make sense in due time my child."

  I stared at my reflection in the mirror; all my life I had been compliant to the voice of the almighty. At one point I had even considered becoming a nun; my devotion was that strong.

I had thought that I had become immune to his voice due to my many sins, but it seemed as if God had some special plans for me; plans that were causing me to do some bizarre things. My face seemed to glow , in fact my whole body had a warm yellow tint to it.

As I looked down on my arm I saw a fairly deep scratch ; apparently I had been scratched by Mr. Killjoy before I left  as I touched it , it glowed before miraculously healing itself.

I blinked twice....

Was I really an earth angel?

I was broken out of my thoughts by the sounds of Dru Hill; a swift glance at the phone revealed that it was the snake

"I heard you were at his home at 3'oclock in the morning , can I trust you to keep this relationship professional and platonic or do I need to assign a new reporter."

I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly feeling quite dry;

"No ma'am I can assure you that this is all strategic, and plus I was assigned to this story in the name of investigative journalism; I will be more than professional."

"Fantastic, now did you remember to pack the dresses we bought you..."

In my mind's eye I saw them; bodycon , short and revealing; the perfect recipe to trap and seduce. If you know me by now, then you'll know I left them home- I was meant to do the lord's work now..not the devil's bidding if ya know what I mean.

"I'll check to see , now not to be rude ma'am  but I need to get ready..."

"You are correct, I expect nothing but the best from you Jai, do not let us down."

"I won't"

My heart fluttered inside my chest as my head spun; the lord really had a weird sense of humor - how could I be some kind of angelic creature and have such lustful feelings towards ,Chris. The two were at deep odds; I started to talk to God...

"Lord how could you send me here, I am attracted to this man in a sinful lustful manner and yet somehow you assign me to ..work with him..how am I to do this lord, how can I do this and not sin against you?"

A blindly bright light filled the room ; I instinctively covered my eyes , adjusting them gradually to the angel that stood before me...she seemed familiar-

"Do I know you?"

"You first met me last night, I am Sasha."

"Why do I keep seeing you?"

"I'm your guardian angel Jai, look I know this is frightening-

I glanced at her dumbfounded ; frightened was an understatement
