AJ POV
I lean against the brick wall in the main courtyard of my school. Digging the toe of my shoe in the dirt as I suck on a grape flavored lollipop and put on my red sunglasses.
"AJ!"
Oh no.
I groan as the girls run up to me.
"AJ you're so cute! Date me please!"
They squeal and beg. I shrug and crack my knuckles.
"Ladies, please. My dad and papa say I'm too young to date."
I use as a lame excuse but it only makes them squeal more.
"AWWW He's cute and a good boy! I love you!"
I just wanted to chill by myself.
I sigh deeply and hear a sudden ruckus going on to my left.
Tired and bored I turn my head to face the yelling.
"You're a boy! Not a girl! So why do you dress up in a girl's uniform? Your name is HUNTER! That's a BOY'S name!"
The school bully, Bruce, pushes a poor scrawny girl about my age to the wall.
This Hunter was shaking with fear as she held up her small hands to her face. Others surround them only to make fun of her with Bruce.
Calling Hunter a 'he' until she cries.
I spit out my lollipop and toss it on the ground. Bruce makes a fist.
"You're a really a man, so you should take this like one."
He says. He goes for the punch but I catch it in my hand before it touches the girl's precious face.
"Leave her alone,"
I say in my deepest, most threatening tone. He looks down at me unimpressed.
"What are you going to do about it short..."
My fist makes contact with his face before he can finish his sentence.
