(Ashley POV)

I laugh out loud to myself while texting Jonathan, standing outside on the grass terrace.

My man is crazy but I love him.

I take a small sip of tea to warm my sore throat and head back inside.

I think I'm starting to get sick with a small cold or something.

I sniffle a little as I close the french doors behind me, pulling the blanket wrapped around my shoulders tighter. I feel my phone vibrate again but I'm too lazy to reach out and get it.

I take another sip of tea and cough a little, wiping my runny nose with my sleeve as I make my way slowly to the kitchen. It was like with each step I took I could feel my body get weaker and weaker.

Jeeze, I didn't know a little cold could hit so fast.

There's a soft knock on the door and I look at the time.

"Who the hell could be knocking at the door at 12 in the morning?"

I ask myself and put down my teacup. Tiredly rubbing my eye as I walk to the front door and open it.

Her long blond hair and bright blue eyes stare into the depths of my soul and for a second I thought maybe I had opened the door to my greatest nightmare.

"Linda?" I ask in a state of disbelief.

"Ashley?!"

I faint
