(Jonathan POV)
"Jonathan!"
I turn around to see Ashley coming into the office while I was talking to my assistant about the Dwyer account in the UK.
"Yes?"
I was confused as to why he was walking so fast.
The heels of his dress shoes clicking on the floor.
"What's up..."
He pulls me close and kisses me in front of the entire office staff for the first time.
It was so sudden and so fast I was barely able to enjoy it before he pulls back and walks away, completely ignoring me while I stood there confused and aghast.
"Would you like me to call security?"
Robert asks as I wipe my tingling bottom lip with my thumb.
"No, it's fine."
Something wasn't right.
I look around to see everyone staring at me in disbelief.
"But sir?! The accounting agent just kissed you?"
Robert panics and I wave it away while walking in the direction he stomped off to.
"It's alright. He's my husband."
My Ashley senses were tingling.
I find him in his office, quietly looking out the window to the park across the street. I carefully close the door behind me but he doesn't even turn around.
"Ash?"
He still doesn't turn around and I can see him shaking.
"Baby, are you okay?"
I come close and touch his arm but he shrugs me off and turns around.
"Me? Okay? Yeah, I'm fine. Let's work on closing the UK Dwyer account."
He goes back to work and I look across the street to the park where I can see her blond hair blowing in the breeze as she walks down the street. She turns and our eyes accidentally meet.
I decide it's best not to say anything until we get home.
