(Jonathan POV)

I sat on the couch with my arms crossed and just stared into the roaring fire we had going in the fireplace. AJ sits next to me with his head against my arm.

"I miss mom," He whispers and I clear my throat.

"Me too buddy...me too." I sigh.

I hear the babies crying upstairs and Ashley calling my name but I ignore him.

"Everything in this house reminds me of her."

He says and I look at the mantle where there stood a small picture of Linda holding Kaleb when he was an infant.

"I know."

I sigh again and can hear loud stomping footsteps upstairs.

"He's going to be pissed if you keep ignoring him," AJ warns and I shrug.

"What's the worst he could do?" I say and gently kiss the top of his head.

Speaking of the devil himself, Ashley comes jogging down the stairs and into the room where I'm whipped in the face with two suitcases.

Taken by surprise, I'm hit so hard I fall off the couch.

"Pack up, we're moving." Ashley says with a serious face and his hands on his hips.

"What? Moving? You're insane."

I groan as I push the suitcases off of me and sit up.

"AJ, go pack we leave in an hour." Ashley says and AJ obeys him instantly, thankful for the opportunity to escape his fury.

"I bought a house, we're moving. Let's go."

He says again and I groan, slamming my head into the coffee table.

"How the fuck did you buy a house? You don't have any money! And where?!"

Nothing was connecting at the moment.

"Oh, sorry. You bought a new house. I was actually quite surprised that in ten years you still haven't changed the password to your bank accounts. That's dangerous you know."

Ashley proceeds to cross his arms and wink at me.

I groan even louder.

He wasn't kidding.

He bought a house.

Fuck me,

"That's fraud, you know I could put you back in prison, is there a return system?" I ask and he rolls his eyes.

"I took your place in prison for ten years. Humor me. Get your ass up, our flight leaves in two hours."

I flip him off and he laughs, turning around and walking back upstairs to pack the girls.
