Jonathan POV

"Jonathan! Wait!"

Ashley screams my name as I fast walk away from him, hoping he doesn't catch up.

"Jonathan!"

He yells again and the students start to stare. I can feel the tears welling up in my eyes and feel a strong tug on my arm as Ashley turns me around.

His brown hair was disheveled and his Shiritsu Kula uniform unbuttoned from his make out session with another guy that I just so happened to walk in on.

"I'm sorry, you weren't supposed to..."

I interrupt him.

"Was I not good enough for you?"

I ask and turn off my emotions toward the situation.

At this rate, I was going to punch him in the face.

"No! Jonathan, it didn't mean anything I just..."

I continue walking to my right and out the door to the school's stone patio.

I needed air.

I stop and bury my hands in my pockets. He stands in front of me again but I ignore him and look out at the horizon where the sparkling ocean meets the bright blue sky.

"Listen, It didn't mean anything. I was scared." He says.

"Scared of what?"

I didn't want excuses. Surprisingly enough, I no longer cared. My love for him left the moment his filthy tongue swirled around Diego's mouth.

"I was scared of the commitment. I've never been with someone who I've loved and cared about as much you. I wanted to see if it felt different I guess."

Excuses and bullshit.

Typical Ashley

"You're scared of commitment? Fine, then I'm taking away my side of the commitment. I guess we're better off as just friends anyway."

I tell him straight up and continue walking away from him.

"No Jonathan that's not what I want!"

Ashley yells and I wave him off with one hand.

"Frankly, I don't give a damn about what you want anymore. Go to hell Ashley."

I say sarcastically and flip him off.

He finally stops following me as I take refuge in the library.

The tears come up again and I try to wipe them away,

not looking as to where I was going,

I slam into someone.
