* Sorry I was listening to a strange mix of No One by Alicia Keys and Na Na by Trey Songs when this came out.

(Ashley POV)

"You met with Linda. Didn't you?"

Jonathan accuses me as he slowly unbuttons his shirt.

"No."

I undo my tie but leave it hanging. Avoiding his eyes which were desperately searching for the truth.

"Don't lie to me."

He threatens and I take off my shoes.

"How could you tell?"

I scratch the back of my head nervously.

"It wasn't that hard. You've been quiet all day. My usual Ashley never knows when to shut up." He says and stands up.

"I need to take a shower." I try to walk away but he grabs me and pulls me back, pushing me against the wall.

"What did she say to you?"

he asks but I continue looking down until he tilts my chin up and our eyes meet.

I hate it when he does this.

"Don't you like having a break from my annoying voice and non-stop bickering?" I shrug.

"No, I love hearing your voice day in and day out. You do remember I had to go ten years without you right? Maybe before I would have complained but now I never want you to stop." he says with all honesty in his voice.

"What did she say?" He asks again.

"Nothing I couldn't handle."

I try to put him at ease but it wasn't working.

"We mainly just talked about the kids, you. I dunno."

I roll my eyes. He gives me a serious expression and I don't like it.

"Seriously Johnny. It was nothing. I'm just a little tired is all. And I feel guilty."

I admit and those steel gray eyes soften.

"Guilty about what?" I try to shove him away but he only pins me harder.

"That I had you when you were vulnerable and took advantage of the situation," I explain myself.

His eyes never once leave mine.

"Say it."

I look at him confused.

"Say what?"

Jonathan comes closer to me, until his bare chest is suddenly pressed against mine.

"It's been over a year and you haven't said it once. Maybe you think it but you never say it."

I instantly know what he's talking about and was surprised.

"Wait, what? Really?"

He lowers his arms from my shoulders to my waist, slowly nodding.

"Why are you always catching me off guard with this touchy-feely shit? You know I do, why do I have to say it?"
