"Wait, what? Are you serious?"

Hindi ako makapaniwala sa narinig ko.

"I'm dead serious, man," Jacob answered on the other line.

Nagulat ako nang makatanggap ako ng tawag mula sa kanya. Excited daw siyang makita ako. Sinabi kong hindi ako pupunta ng Japan anytime soon but then he told me he's coming to the Philippines.

"What are you gonna do here?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe go to the beach. Soak in the sun. I've heard the beaches there are amazing."

"Did you tell Pierre about your plan? What did he say?"

Nag-aalala ako na baka magalit si Pierre sa pabigla-biglang desisyon ni Jacob. Ganoon naman talaga si Jacob. Spontaneous. Implusive.

"No butI'll tell him once I get there."

I have a bad feeling about Jacob's plan.

"When exactly are you gonna be here?"

"Next Week. I'm still going to check for a hotel for me to stay, though."

"You can stay with me. I've rented an apartment here. I have an extra room for you. "

"Great! Pick me up at the airport then."

"I will but promise me that you'll call Pierre first."

Jacob groaned with disapproval.

"Okay, fine! I'll call him today."

Sinabi ni Jacob ang tungkol sa mga ideas niya para sa bago naming album pero hindi ko maintindihan ang pinagsasabi niya. Si Abbie pa rin kasi ang naiisip ko.

I really want to talk to her about that kiss last night. I hope I didn't come off too strong for her. Sana ay hindi nito isipin na napaka-agresibo ko.

Siguro tatawagan ko na lang siya mamaya.

"Hey! Are you even listening?"

"What did you say?" Muntik ko nang makalimutan na may kausap pala ako sa phone.

"Dude, I am not going repeat what I said. Why are you not even listening?"

Tumawa ako. Nakakatuwa talaga kapag nagagalit si Jacob.

"Can you call me back later? I'm just gonna get a shower," ang sabi ko habang papasok sa banyo.

"Okay. I'll send you my flight details. Be sure to pick me up in the airport, okay?"

"Yes, I will," sagot ko sa kanya.

Kinuha ko ang tuwalya na nakasabit sa aking balikat ngunit bigla akong nadulas sa basang tiles.

Hindi ako nadapa but my phone went straight to the toilet.

"Shit!"

ABIGAIL

Kanina pa ako nakatunganga habang nakatingin sa aking computer.

Hindi ako makapag-concentrate. Naiisip ko Tony. Ang mga sinabi nito at ang halik nito.

Isinubsob ko ang aking mukha sa aking mga kamay. Nalilito ako. Should I give him a chance? Natatakot ako na baka masaktan lang ako.

"Kainis!"

Mabilis namang napatingin si Cecilia sa akin.

"Abbie? Okay ka lang?" sabit nito sabay lapit sa akin.
