The ride home was completely quite and it was bothering me.
Whenever he dropped me off, I couldn't wait to run to my bed and not come out for another ten years. I need to get away from Noah before I have a mental breakdown.
"Honey? Why are you soaked?" My mother asked, it's obvious that it was raining.
"Oh you know, just took a little swim. No biggie." I sarcastically remarked, although I was throwing my attitude onto her. I've came to always take everything out on my mother, I really need to quit that.
"Bree, don't go upstairs, I need to talk to you." She held up her ordinary colorless newspaper.
Now come she reads the newspaper so much?
"What?" I asked, "I really need to change out of these clothes mom." I snickered, I ignored her and carried myself upstairs.
I changed into a pair of plane pink silky pajamas that I've came to love. I forced myself to go downstairs to see what my mom needed to speak to me about.
As I hit the last step of the stairs, I plopped myself onto the couch. Mom tells me not to do that, but I never listen.
"What is it?" I asked, grabbing the remote and turning it to LMN.
"So, this summer." She paused, "you haven't seen your grandparent in quite a long time." She looks at me, my jaw dropped. Hell if she thinks I'm going to spend my summer with them.
"Mom" I squinted my eyes while groaning. She sighed, knowing I would have a reaction close to this.
"Breanna." She glared at me with her bright eyes that I wish I would have gotten from her.
"What am I going to do up there?" I asked, there is no way I'm getting out of this. My mom is going to force me to stay with them and I know it.
"Well," she took her bottom lip in with her teeth, "they have a beach, amusement parks, and fairs." My mom smirked at me, "I know how you love fairs."
She was actually being sarcastic, she knows how much a hate the rides. They terrify me.
I sighed, "when will I be going?" I asked, not sounding one bit happy.
"First three weeks of summer, and if you decide to stay longer, then you can." She smiled, "and you are going to love Taylor."
"Who is Taylor?" I asked, oblivious of the unfamiliar name.
"You'll remember him when you see him, you two use to be inseparable. We couldn't get you guys to stay away from each other when you guys were little." She explained and suddenly he was beginning to sound familiar.
I was like five years old, and he was my best friend.
-
"So what did you and Noah do?" She asked, picking her magazine back up.
I hate that she asked that.
"We went out for dinner." I managed to say.
"Did you have fun?" She asked.
"Yes." No.
"Oh." She whispered, she nodded and continued to read.
How come she was so weird while talking about Noah?
I'm just happy to get away from this place, I need a break.
(A/n:
Okay, picture Taylor looking like Nash Grier.)
