I leant my body against the kitchen counter, waiting for grandpa to come through the door, waiting for the hug I've been dying for.

Since when am I so happy? I haven't stopped smiling since I arrived here.

"He should be here any minute." Grandma said cooking up the dinner that Taylor is suppose to come to, "I don't know where he i-"

"Grandpa!" I yelled as the door opened, he stuck his arms out to me and I hugged the big ole man that I've missed dearly. If feels like I haven't see them in twenty years, although I haven't been alive that long, it feels that way.

"Well, you're not so little anymore are you?" He asked, putting some sort of lunch box down on the counter I was leaning on moments ago.

I laughed, not knowing how to respond.

He just looked at me and smiled, "you're actually here." He said and I thought he was going to cry, but of course he didn't.

"Taylor has to see her!" He said picking up the phone before grandma could take it out of his hands.

"Oh Harold! I've already called him!" My squeaky grandmothers voice echoed.

Oh, grandparents these days.

A knock at the door woke me out of my silence. Grandma was busy cooking and papa was getting ready.

"Oh dear, would you get that?" I heard grandmas voice from the kitchen.

"Of course." I smiled to myself, excited to see the boy.

Is he still that chubby boy with glasses? Does he still have low self esteem? Does a still get bullied?

I sighed before twisting the doorknob to answer all of my questions.

"T-Taylor?" I choked, obviously not expecting to see him like this.

"It's me." He smiled, "how are you, Bree?" His blue eyes drawn me to him and I never realized how beautiful they were.

My mouth was dry and I forgot how to talk.

And to think Noah was cute..

Okay, Noah is cute, but so is Taylor.

"Are you okay?" He laughed, the same laugh from our childhood, but only deeper.. And cuter.

"Yeah." I managed to reply, my eyes never leaving his. "And I'm good." I said, smiling at him. He walked passed me and into the kitchen.

"Taylor! You get taller every time I see you, boy!" She smiled, taking him in for a hug.

"And you get prettier." He smiled big, receiving a laugh from my grandma.

"Sit down, sit down." She motioned the both of us to sit down beside each other. "It feels just like it use too, the two of you together." She smiled while shaking her head slowly.

She later began to place then good onto the table, making my mouth water.

"You've changed." Taylor's voice interrupted my thoughts of food.

"I believe that you're the one that changed." I said pointing at him, he scooted closer to me.

Every time I looked at him, Noah's faced seemed to appear and I tried my hardest to shake it off.

This little vacation isn't about Noah, it's about being free from drama.

Which is practically being free from Noah.

We both sat in silence, it definitely wasn't like it use to be, we use to not be able to shut up. Grandma always threatened to tape our mouths if we didn't hush.

"Taylor," I heard grandpas voice, Taylor got up from his seat to shake grandpas hand, but instead, grandpa pulled him in for a hug.

"How are you, boy? I haven't seen you in quite a while." He said raising his eyes brows.

"Good, sir. How have you and Amy been doing?" He said, referring to grandma.

"We've been alright." He smile at grandma, she laughed at him. I find old people romance cute.

Taylor sat back down beside me, and I saw grandpa smile at grandma thinking I didn't see them.

Surprisingly, dinner went better than I thought.

Taylor and I caught up on some old memories, and we've already planned to go fishing sometime this week.

As excited as I am, I'm somewhat nervous as well. I'm nervous around him, kind of like I was with Noah whenever we first started talking.

Dammit, stop talking about Noah.

Why can't I seem to let him go? This may be.a little bit harder than I put it out to be..
