Breaking The Rules

Chapter thirteen

Previously on breaking the rules,

"Cullen, wait." Erin frowns while walking out with him.

That left everyone else silent in the room.

"He has a bad past behind him, that's probably why he is acting like that." John said while sipping on his drink.

"A bad past?" Courtney asked.

"Yeah, it all started whenever his mom died. After that, he suddenly got out of control." Riley spoke.

Making me wonder what they mean by out of control.

"She died in a tragic car crash. It was terrible." Riley shook his head and sighed.

"She was a really good woman.." John said looking down at the floor. It almost feels as if they feel extremely uncomfortable talking about it.

"When was this?" Courtney raised her eyebrows, she does that when she's curious.

"2011, almost three years ago."

"I remember the very last time I seen her, she walked out the door to her car to pick up James. James is Cullen's little brother. He's thirteen." Riley said, "anyways, after she left, the police showed up at his house and we were scared as fuck. We had no idea what was going on. So then, we opened the door and let them in, the next thing I know, Cullen was crying at the top of his lungs. I never want to go back to that day again.." Riley explained leaving all of us speechless.

I don't have any idea what I would do without my mother... I wouldn't know how to live.

"Hold on," Courtney held her finger up, "Noah's calling."

She rolled her eyes as she pushed answer.

"What?" She asked.

"Noah, we're fine."

"Whenever we get back home tonight, mom will take both of them home."

"Yes, I know we have school tomorrow."

"Noah seriously, stop being so overprotective over me.."

"I'm not doing anything stupid and neither are my friends."

"Okay bye." She annoyingly remarked.

Awe, Noah was worried about her.

"Noah was worried about you guys." She laughs.

What?

"He said that he didn't like the fact that we don't even know these boys." She laughs once again as I take a sip of my water that Riley brought me.

"Oh, we'll we are fine." Al smiles, showing her perfect teeth off.

After a regular conversation, we got back on the subject of Cullen.

"So how come you guys say he's out of control?" I asked, curious as I can get out.

"He here recently started drinking more than usual, he has taken advantage of about every girl at our school, and he has a really bad attitude." John said, the last part didn't surprise me. Cullen is a dick.
