Few hours before.
"Can you come over tonight?" Courtney nudged my side, waiting for my response. Usually when she asks me to come over, we end up doing things we shouldn't. For instance: going to a party. It ends up the same every time-- babysitting her while she's drunk off her arse.
I sighed, reaching the door of my locker, "Sure."
"Al is coming, too. This should be fun." She muttered the last party under her breathe and I pretended not to hear it.
"What party are we going to this weekend?" I asked, and she gave me the 'what are you talking about' look, "Let's skip the part where you pretend like you have no clue of what I'm talking about." I lightly smirked.
"You know me too well." She chuckled, "But honestly, I don't know."
"It's bad that we are only sophomores, and we do this stuff, right?" I asked, "like, we should be at home studying or-"
"Okay I'm going to class," she laughed, cutting me off.
I rolled my eyes before walking into my first block.

I met Al and Courtney at the front of the school when the bell rang.
"Why aren't we riding the bus to your house?" I asked. Usually, she rode the bus home, so I am a little confused.
"Noah." She pulled out her phone and began to search for his name.
She pushed the call button, and I was just waiting for her to scream at him.
"Where are you?" She bellowed, "I knew you'd be late."
She said a few more words to Noah before hanging up.
"He's coming." She evilly smiled. Sometimes I think she really is evil, although she is my best friend. She has a dark side of her..
Don't get me wrong, she can be the sweetest person ever sometimes. She'll help you with anything, and she gives great advice, but there are other times where you're literally scared of her.
"Hey." Noah's voice sounded behind us, and I squealed as his shoulder brushed against me. His eyes were squinted from the sun in his face, his eyebrows knitting together.
He walked out in front of us, and we followed behind him. He had a new black Range Rover, and I swear I started drooling as I got in it.
"Where am I taking you?" He asked Courtney as he fiddled with the radio. I watched as he clicked on each station and rolled his eyes until he found the right song. The way he flips his light brown hair gave me chills throughout my spine.
"Are you okay?" Al asked me. It took me a second to get my eyes off of Noah, but I eventually answered her.
"..Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled, knowing that she caught me staring at him. If Courtney ever knew that I was even thinking of her brother like this, she would probably never talk to me again..
"You're taking us home, where else would we go?" Courtney replied, she was focused on her new phone that she got for her birthday.
"I don't know, I was just asking." He replied to her snobby remark.
"Nope, we are just going home. We are having a little sleepover tonight." She laughed, staring straight at me through the mirror.
It was silent the rest of the way there, only the music playing lowly in the background.
I kept noticing Noah starting back at me through the mirror, or maybe he was staring at Al. I'm just going to pretend it's me.
