Breaking The Rules

Chpt. 27

Noah dropped me off back at my house after dinner at Apple Bees. At first, I thought the night was going to be ruined by the tiny argument it started off with, but surprisingly it was a nice dinner. I'm happy to say I got the words I've been holding in out.

I needed to tell Noah how I felt about this whole situation between us and the rule. I needed to know where we stood, and to be honest, right now we are pretty much friends with benefits. We aren't dating, so therefore that doesn't make us a couple, but we don't act like just two regular friends.

Whenever Noah had dropped me me off, I ran upstairs to take a quick shower and head to bed. I am so tired, I've been on the go all day long with Noah, and I'm exhausted.

I woke up with a call from Al, I might as well return it now.

The phone rang two times before she picked up.

"Hello?" She asked.

"Hey what's up?"

"You'll never believe me when I tell you this." She said, making me worry.

"What, Al?" I asked, hoping that it would be good news instead of bad.

"They found him. They found Courtney's murderer." She said. Right as the words spilt out of her mouth, I couldn't help but to smile.

"Really? What's his name? Tell me!" I said, I need to know everything that's he knows.

"All they said was they found the murderer of Courtney Allen." She said.

"Oh okay.. Is there any way I can talk to that bastard?" I asked. There has to be a way.

"Yes, that investigator dude will probably need you to determine if that is the boy that tried raping you. Isn't that boy the same boy that Courtney was all over?"

I replied with a yes.

"Al, I need to go.. I'm going to call the investigator and see when I can come down there." I said practically hanging up on her. I needed to see that bastard as soon as possible.
