Simons pov
Tobi came into the kitchen wrapped in a towel, his body wet and face flushed. I let out a snicker, and his eyes flashed to mine before widening like saucers.
"Don't you dare say anything you speng."
I chuckled at his red face, the colour matching up with the love bites on his neck.
"Didn't know vik was such a vampire." I mumbled as I shoved a piece of toast into my mouth. Tobi sputtered a laugh, his face dancing against the floor.
"You Should see vik." He winked, pointing his fingers as he walked away. I shook my head, looking back to the door vik would be walking through if he came in.
"Why are you staring at the door like it's a snack?" Joshes voice rang from my opposite side, leaning over and placing a soft kiss on my lips before going to the fridge. The door creaked open, as if vik was trying not to make it apparent he was coming in.
"That's why." I chuckled, my hand slapping the counter top as vik did a walk of shame.
Josh looked over to him, his mouth dropping as vik scurried across the tiled floor and through the doors to the stairs.
"Tobi man, he's putting in work."
A sputter laugh escaped my lips, a genuine tear shedding laugh that josh has brought out of me. I watched as he poured milk into his cereal, his tounge sticking out slightly as he focused on not spilling the milk.
My heart stopped at just the thought of him.
"Hey josh, can we go on a proper date? Like nothing fancy, maybe to the cinema or Thorpe?" Josh thought about it before smiling at me, nodding his head.
"Of course, id love to." He hummed, spooning the newly bought weetabix into his mouth.
We sat there in silence as he ate, tobi coming down once more and sitting next to me.
"Did you have a successful morning swim?" I asked innocently, but slight embarrassment flashed across tobi's face when I asked.
"You know, you sure like to judge my sex life when I heard you with josh just the other night." His voice danced across the room, laughter filling the space between the words. My face began to warm up, josh giggling along with his long term best friend. Tobi and him clapped their hands together, neither of them Caron how embarrassed I was.
"Anyway, I heard something about a date? Could we make it a double date because vik is scared to go alone, and to be fair I am too."
Tobi got serious, his hands twitching on the table top. I looked to josh, who gave a small nod and a smile.
"We don't mind. It would be lovely for a double date to happen. I didn't know you two made it official if I'm being honest." I admitted, and tobis aura lightened extremely.
"We did a couple weeks ago actually. Back in October. The 22nd to be specific." His voice was light, and you could tell love flickered in his heart for the boy upstairs.
"Christmas is next month bloody hell." I sighed, not wanting to admit that my closet was stuffed with stuff i had intended to give Ethan.
"First holiday we celebrate without him." Tobi answered bitterly. Up until now, Ethan wasn't a topic we usually brought up. We intend to stay happy, and not mentioning him is how we do it.
"It'll be okay. He'll be with us."
Josh smiled at me, a sad smile, but a smile none the less. He got up, dumping his milk down the drain and heading upstairs.
"Did you hear jj's new song? Medusa?"
I nodded, my stomach dropping at the mention of my best friends career.
"It's amazing." I answered, a crack ending the sentence as I didn't want to cry.
"You miss him don't you?" Tobi asked softly, his hand sitting on top of mine as comfort. I nodded as small tears filled my eyes.
"He hasn't tried to contact me since he left. I don't even know what I did. I thought I was his best mate." The truth spilled from my tounge as I sobbed to tobi. He nodded, rubbing my back with his free hand.
"He's a cunt for that. You always supported him, he should at least keep in contact with you." I nodded, sucking in a breath as I looked from the darker skinned boy to the stairs.
"Thank you tobi. Now let's go make sure my boyfriend isn't torturing yours."
