PART I
Tick tock
Tick tock
A gust of wind brushed against the house,
Shuddering the trees and bushes in its path.
The sidemen house was silent except for the crackling of the fire.
Simon sat alone on his bed, the only light source coming from the three wicked candle on his side table.
Pictures, teddies, notes and more were scattered along his empty bed. The light from the candle cast a shadow onto the shining pictures, simon only just making out the figures in each one. A smile slid onto his face as the light shined onto Ethan's. His stomach clenched for the boy he used to love.
A feeling settled in the pit of his stomach as a thought came to the silver haired boy.
He no longer loved the boy in heaven.
His heart now beat for the brunette bombshell that lied fast asleep a few rooms down.
Simons eyes drooped, a yawn passing his lips.
His hands scooped the pictures up, a stray one escaping the pile. He set the collected one downs, his eyes shifting to the loose photo.
His heart warmed at the memory of the night the picture was taken. He left that one on the bed, taking the rest and heading down the stairs to the lounge quickly. He pushed the doors to the lounge open, a rush of warm air hitting his face. He glanced around the room.
Lights hung high against the walls, the colours contrasting against the bright copper lights on the tree. Presents made an appearance under the tree this year, and oh were the boys excited to have them opened.
His body pulled to the fireplace that thrives in the middle of the room. The blonde sighed, letting the heat warm his cold skin. Simon pulled a thick black blanket over to sofa as he flopped down, grabbing the remote and going to his saved videos. As he scrolled through, the photos sat next to the fire, warming the paper.
He wanted music to set the mood, the mood for something he truly believed was the start of something new.
Finally he found a song, one that made his heart skip a beat and his hands tremble.
Perfect by Ed Sheeran began to float through the room and into Simons soul as he again made his way to where the photos lied.
He sat crossed legged with the photos clenched to his chest. He looked at the first one, kissing the memory goodbye before chucking it into the fire.
Photo by photo he burned the memories of his now deceased best friend and ex.
As each photo turned to ash, a weight was lifted off the silver haired fox.
Little did he know, he was going to get the visit of a lifetime when the clock strikes 12.
In the other rooms, josh, Vik and tobi were fast asleep. All three unaware of Simons actions and the repercussions coming from said actions.
The wind hit the windows out of no where, causing simon to nearly jump out his skin. He let a large breath of air out, his hand clinching his chest from the sudden fright. He watched the final photo burn in the flames, and he couldn't help the feelings knotting in his stomach as he finally let go of the past.
He sat on the sofa, lying his head back and pulling the thick blanket over his slender body.
His eyelids seemed to have been replaced with coins as he was suddenly overcome with fatigue. He fell fast asleep, unaware of what was about to head his way.

Ethan's pov
I stood in front of the home that belonged to the sidemen. I was here for one reason and one reason only: simon.
My ghastly body slide through the walls of the house, my feet making no noise as I stepped across the wooden floor.
There he was, the guy that made my now dead heart beat with such a fiercity I thought it would have burst. The house smelled of Christmas, the fire burning in the corner of the room. It crackled, ashes flying from its pit.
I walked over to Simons sleeping body, and if it weren't for me being here for one reason, I would have left and wished to never see him again.
Fore though my heart may be cold and lifeless, his presence brings warmth to my everso dead body. I coughed loudly, and somehow the sound echoed against the walls, bouncing from wall to wall and against Simons ears.
He shuffled a little, and it took all my might not to just slap him awake.
No, I was better than that. So once again, I coughed.
Coughing 3 more times before the silver haired boy cracked his eyes open, falling directly onto me. He scurried up, his orbs turning to saucers as his mouth fell a gap.
"I have to be dreaming." He breathed, and I let out a low chuckle before responding.
"Tis I, your past, present, and future Christmas conductor."
