Josh was the one person I was worried about.
He was the one that was there for me most as I cried about missing my best friend. He fumed everyday that Jj was an inconsiderate arsehole and deserves to rot. So when the door creaked open hours later, and 2 pairs of footsteps made their way to the lounge, my heart skipped a beat. My eyes flashed to Jj and back to the door where the pair would be walking through. Laughter filled the once quiet room, and Josh and Lux appeared in the door way.
All existing sound was quickly cut off at the sight of Jide. Neither of them reacted, but I could see anger and desperation flash behind joshes chocolate eyes. I stood up to stop josh from doing anything, but he was already across the room before I got the chance to.
My breath caught in my throat as josh pushed Jj off the sofa. My feet stuck to the floor, and my body was unable to move from my spot. I couldn't swallow, as if I was being strangled as I walked the scene unfold in front of me.
Tobi was the one to stop it. His face fuming as he pulled josh off of Jj, pushing him hard to the ground. Tobi huffed, mumbling under his breath as he pulled Jj off the floor. Hurt filled jides eyes as he watched josh get up.
"Why the fuck are you back here? You don't give a fuck about us. You only care about yourself!" Jide sucked in a breath at the harsh comment. My hands clenched at my sides, and I felt my feet moving towards josh.
"Josh, it's okay. Please just give him a chance he is here for the holidays. He wants to make up for lost time. He knows what he's done." My voice was soft as I let my hands rest on josh's shuddering chest. He nodded, his breath pushing out his nose loudly, something I never seen in josh before. He walked out the lounge, pulling me with him. Once clear from anyone hearing us, he turned to me with watery eyes.
"Why did you let him back in the house? All he is going to do is hurt you." Josh stared at me, his bottom lip quivering. The room was silent as I watched my boyfriend. His feet shifted, his hands shaking as the anger slowly left him system but was quickly replaced with sorrow.
I sucked in a breath, sitting on the floor and waiting for him to follow.
"Ethan gave me a lot of chances. He didn't have to. He could have easily left me and never looked back. But he stayed with me because he loved me. He saw potential in me that no one else did. Even though he knew I was cheating on him, he stayed with me. Jj deserves exactly that. He was going through so much and nobody was there to help him. He did what was best for him at the time no matter how much it affected us it was to better himself. Jj has so much potential and even though he has hurt me recently he is still one of my best friends who have been there for me when no one else was. Jj was there when I first came out. He was there for me josh, and he has been there for you too. We can't just through away everything goof he has done when he makes one move we don't like."
I couldn't breath by the end of the rant. Large heavy breaths escaped my lips as I watched josh. His eyes flashed across the room, his body shocked at the large statement.
"I'm such a dickhead." He sighed, his face in his hands. I nodded, and he glared at me. Jj came through the hall, his hands twirling together as he approached the two of us.
"Hey, look if you want me to get a hotel I'm fine with that. I don't want to intrude in your life."
This was a side of jide I had never saw. The insecure, sheltered side that he never showed. Josh belittled him so much in the last 15 minutes than anyone ever has. Josh shook his head, another sigh passing before he stood up.
"I'm sorry I acted that way. You shouldn't have to leave. This is just as much your house as it is mine." I smiled as the pair hugged, a giggle escaping Jj as they pulled apart. We went back to the lounge where vobi and Chip were. They watched as we entered, waiting to see how the scene unfolded. Jj and josh sat down next to eachother, and I pulled out my phone.
"How does holiday films and take away sound?"
