Always and Forever

24 - It's so hard to say goodbye..

I was tying the shoe strings to my skates as Janet was waiting for me. I was purposely taking my time because I was nervous that I was going to bust my ass in front of Janet and everybody in here. I had never been skating before, so I was new to this and completely unaware of how to skate.

"Come on baby, there's nothing to be nervous about. I'll be right next to you." Janet said softly as she approached me and sat next to me. I was always so dramatic, it wasn't that big of a deal. I mean....it is just skating...everyone here was new at some point. Even Janet. So, with that thought I stood, and then I started to slowly make my way towards the open wall to let us out onto the floor. Janet was behind me closely, making sure I was good I was thankful for her.

"I love the music their playing, and the vibe here. I think that'll help it ease my mind a little better." I said as Janet held my hand as we gently stepped out onto the floor, and I started to move without moving my legs...slowly though. Until I started to move my feet, and skate a little faster. I was watching Janet, seeing what she did and mimicked her as I looked at other skaters around me, some were advanced skating around the rink backwards and dancing while they did it. It made me want to just fall thinking of myself attempting to do such.

"Yeah they always play great music on Fridays. Don't come on senior citizen night. You wouldn't believe how far back they go in music." Janet said jokingly as we were holding hands just strolling around the curve, people were looking at us and staring but I tried not to pay them any mind. I was enjoying time with my baby right now before she left me for god knows how long. Surprisingly I hadn't fallen while Janet started to speed up and pull me along with her. I was catching onto it faster than I thought I would. But my baby was making sure that she held onto me firmly so if I had stumbled, she wouldn't be too far away to catch me.

"Do you come here a lot?" I asked as I looked over at her, she looked so cute in her fitted black jeans and baggy tee. Looked very appealing if I shall say, but I was trying to not think about how badly I wanted her face between my legs. Especially with the way she kept smiling and licking her lips. She was a tease, and she knew it. Janet wasn't slick AT ALL.

"Nah not a lot, I've just come here a few times with my brothers, when my mother made them bring me along so that I could get out of the house and spend time with them." She said as we were just skating in unison now, it was so cute. I was starting to get the feel of skating more and more, it wasn't that hard honestly. You just had to have a good balance and you wouldn't fall, and don't do more than you can handle. After a little while, I began to get hungry and was telling Janet that I wanted to eat but.. nothing from a restaurant.

"I want a down south home cooked meal. So we have to go to the grocery store. I want to buy some things and cook dinner. A good, hearty meal..." I said as Janet and I were making our way to the wall to rest up a bit. I was just bobbing my head to the music as we both held onto the wall.

"Mmmm.. that sounds really good honestly, you talking like Fried Chicken, Cornbread and Collard Greens down south? " Janet asked as I raised a brow.

"And not to mention the macaroni and cheese," I said rubbing my stomach. "But... how about Baked Chicken...waittt Barbecue Chicken. I think that sounds amazingggggg!"

"Hmmm, I like the way you think baby. Welp, we can go around a little more and then head to the store. I can't wait to get that meal started. You're becoming a foodie like me" Janet said a bit teasingly as she lightly poked my stomach. I laughed.
