Janet

The next morning...

"Ha...ha...ha, I was having a really good time up until the moment I started throwing up everywhere," I said as I was sipping my orange juice. Aaliyah and Mike were treating Toni, and I for a sober up breakfast at a diner near Aaliyah's apartment. We had to get away from the front window of the restaurant to avoid all of the attention that was being attracted.

"It snuck up on you just like we mentioned it would. You should have stopped at that third drink." Mike said while cutting through his food.

"The body shots is what took me out. Jan you were showing out."

Toni laughs agreeing with Aaliyah, they have all been on my case all morning. Laughing, and picking at me. I knew I wasn't going to hear the end of it.

"Well I do know one thing, I won't be doing that again... I know I'm not much of a drinker so I shouldn't have gone over my limit anyway. Lesson learned indeed." I said as I cut through the warm glazed strawberry that sat on top of my stacked pancakes. My food was so good, I assume it's extremely good to me right now because of the night I had.

"Just stick to your wine and champagne baby. Liquor is for special occasions only." Toni said as she was eating as well, and she would briefly glance down at a sleeping Deizel in his carrier. He was sleeping soundly.

"Noted baby...but guys I wanted to talk to you about something. I wanted your opinion."

Everyone focuses their attention on me as I was prepared to tell them about my ideas with the company I wanted to start.

"So....I want to do something good and give back to the community. So I was thinking of having a hiring job fair for my company. For people to work in the office part, which doesn't require a degree. It's an entry-level position, and within the company, they will be trained and will learn other skills to help them strengthen whatever it is they choose to learn. Such as communication skills, people skills, interviewing skills, and a few other things on the computer and such. My company will not only be for my patients, but other floors will be different things. I personally won't be working those jobs but I want to give people jobs as well. There are a lot of college graduates who also go to school for certain things but can't land a job to save their life. So basically I'm giving people more opportunities....doing what a lot of people should be doing when they have a platform."

"I think that's absolutely amazing Janet, and I'll support you a hundred percent. And I'm pretty sure there are a ton of buildings on 7th avenue in Corrins that'll be great for that idea that you have. And if you want sponsors, and donations I can make those happen too. Even though I'm pretty sure you weren't going to ask for help....so damn independent."

I smiled at my brother as I shook my head. He was right, which was why I couldn't say anything. "I'd appreciate that Mike....because you weren't going to take no for an answer anyways."

Aaliyah shook her head. "He's the same way...I see so many similarities between you two it's crazy. But I agree with what your brother said Janet. I think's it's a wonderful idea...your such a brilliant person to even think of something like that. And your not only setting a great example for Deizel...your also inspiring not only me but I'm sure all of us to do more with our platform as well. Toni your going to start teaching again right?"
