Angelica and Burr walked out of the school together. Burr had his hands on his pockets, and walked with a smooth, easy gait. Angelica too walked with confidence, but her hands hung by her sides, brushing the fabric of her skirt.
They talked with ease, bouncing off each other, showing off their wit.
Eventually though, they fell silent.
Burr looked over at the girl beside him. She had a smile on her face as she looked out into the world with confidence.
His face spread out into a matching smile, and he pulled his hands out of his pockets, letting one of them gently brush against Angelica's.
She glanced over at him in surprise, but his gaze was already turned away, a shy smirk on his face.
She rolled her eyes at his shy confidence, but let him take her hand regardless.
They walked the rest of the way to the ice cream parlor in silence, just holding hands and watching the trees past.
They got to the shop after a few minutes and ordered their cream before sitting down at one of the tables for two.
Burr released her hand.
Their ice cream took a while to arrive, and they got slightly bored waiting for it.
Angelica groaned, fiddling with a napkin. "When will it come?"
Burr raised an eyebrow at her. "When it's ready."
"When will that be?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
Angelica, shrugged, grinning. "Super smart boy skills?"
Burr laughed. "I'm not nearly as smart as Hamilton. Or as Jefferson for that matter."
Angelica shrugged. "You're nicer."
A small blush spread over Burr's cheeks. "Glad you think so."
She sent him a sweet smile and a wink, leaving him feeling slightly off-centered.
But thankfully, before he said anything stupid, their ice cream came.
Angelica had gotten strawberry, and Burr salted caramel pretzel.
They ate it with relish, laughing at the colorful mustaches that occasionally formed on the top of each other's lips.
After they finished, Burr walked Angelica home.
When they reached the door he gently took her hand and pressed a kiss to the back.
"Have a good rest of your day," he said gently.
She smiled lightly at him. "Yeah, you too."
Both of them had a smile on their face for the rest of the day.
A/N: Just a little bit of AngelicaxBurr fluff.
You know, it's kinda funny. I don't actually ship this in the musical. But in this fanfic. . . I actually really love it. :D
