Three months later, Alex walked out of school with his boys and Eliza, a smile on his face.

Everything in his life seemed perfect.

With Jefferson gone, Alex had finally come to terms with the fact that he had actually enjoyed the excitement the other boy brought to his life. He had asked Angelica for Jefferson's address and had sent him a letter of apology.

The one he received in return had made his face break out in an enormous smile.

Hamilton,

I guess I have to forgive you. You're not a bad kid.

Sorry I called you a filthy latino. You don't actually smell very bad.

-T. Jeff

Angelica was being civil towards him, and he was happy to see her relationship with Burr progressing. The other boy and him still weren't best of friends, but they would at least say 'hi' when they passed in the hallways.

Philip was as adorably annoying as ever, and both he and Peggy had done great jobs in the school play.

Maria was. . . Still Maria. She ignored Alex, which he was completely fine with. He had Eliza now.

Eliza.

They were now officially dating, and were a happy couple. She had become the 'good girl' of the group, and kept the boys in line. Despite their whining at her, saying "yes Mom" whenever she told them not to do something, they fully accepted her and enjoyed her presence.

Alex didn't think he had ever been more happy.

"Wanna head over to the ice cream place?" Mulligan said, breaking the relaxed silence between them.

Lafayette rolled his eyes. "Did you really need to ask?"

"I dunno," said Eliza haltingly. "It's kinda cold."

"What?" John rolled his eyes. "We might get pneumonia?"

Eliza huffed, and Alex slung his arm around her.

"It's okay Eliza. You don't have to get anything."

She looked shocked. "What? I want some!"

John laughed. "Got you there!"

Laughing, the five of them set off for the ice cream parlour.
