The rest of the week passed in a blur for Alex, and next thing he knew he was walking up the walk to the Schuyler's front door, heart pounding in his chest.

To his surprise, Angelica opened the door. She looked neither surprised to see him, nor happy about it.

"Hi," Alex said awkwardly. "I'm here for Eliza?"

She stepped outside and shut the door behind her.

"Uhh. . ." Alex started.

"Hamilton," Angelica growled. "I need a word with you."

"Um, okay." Alex raised an eyebrow, but his heart was pounding very hard now, and he thought he knew what she was going to say. "What's up?"

"Eliza deserves so much better than you."

Alex paused. "I know that."

Angelica crossed her arms. "Then why in earth did you ask her out?"

Alex shrugged. "She seems to disagree with us. And for some reason she thinks I'm worth her time."

"Well I don't think you are."

"I know."

Angelica snorted. "If you hurt her. . ."

"I wouldn't dare."

"She deserves the best."

"I'd give her the world if she asked."

Giving him a wary look, Angelica turned and opened the door again. "Eliza! Alexander is here!"

There was the sound of running feet on stairs, and Philip came hurling around the corner. He launched himself into Alex's arms, who was barely able to keep his balance, the force pushing him back.

"Alex!"

"Hey Philip," Alex replied. "How's it going man?"

"Great! Are you here to pick 'Liza up?"

"Yeah, I am actually."

"Are you her boyfriend now?" The little boy asked earnestly.

Alex couldn't help laughing. "Hopefully soon."

Philip's gaze turned stern. "You have to treat her well. Otherwise Angie says she'll pull your fingernails off one by one, and then cut off your head! And I don't want that to happen to you!"

He ended in a sort of a whine.

Alex looked at Angelica in surprise, but she just looked smug.

"Don't worry Philip," Alex assured him, glaring at Angelica. "Your sister will only get the best treatment from me."

Philip immediately brightened. "Good!"

Just then Alex heard another set of feet in the stairs, and Eliza came around the corner.

Alex drew in a sharp breath.

She was dressed in a pale blue dress that came down almost to her knees, and in her dark hair was a matching flower.

She smiled at Alex when she saw him, and walked over.

"Hi." Her smile was shy.

"Hey," he replied, slightly breathless at her beauty. "You ready?"

"Yeah." Her voice was soft. The smile never left her face.

"Alright Philip, see you later."

"Yup," the younger boy said cheerfully.

The last thing Alex saw before he close the door was Angelica, glaring at him, making a gesture from his eyes to her own.

He nodded to her.

He was going to make sure Eliza had the best night possible.

A/N: Sorry, sorry, sorry. I know how short the chapters have been. But I always put off writing them till Thursday night. And this week was really stressful. This chapter was meant to include the date. . . But. . . Next week?
