Ship: Analogical (Haven't done this one in a while either)

Note is at the bottom! Let's get started!

It was winter. It was the time for the holidays, hot chocolate, soft scarves, touchscreen gloves, cheery music and...

Snow. Yup. That freezing substance that made you want to curl up in front of a fire, buried in a blanket with a good book in hand.

And that is exactly what Logan and Virgil were doing.

In front of the fire they lay spooning, Logan being the little spoon. Completely immersed in his book, his partner Virgil was curled around him, an arm secured around his waist. Virgil was reading along, only half paying attention though.

Instead, he read the emotions that were sparked within the bookloving trait. He fondly observed every quirk his lover had. He noticed the fractional eye widening when a plot twist or unexpected event occurred in the text. He noticed the lip chewing whenever the situation got tense. He noticed the slight sigh of disapproval whenever the characters made a bad decision. He noticed the barely stifled laugh whenever something funny happened. He noticed the (infinitesimal) smile that tugged at Logan's lips when something favourable or romantic happened. He noticed all the tell tale signs of emotion that Logan expressed when reading, even though they were small.

Call him sappy, but Virgil loved small moment such as these where they could just bask in each other's presences. No need for fancy dates. Just small moments where they could relax around each other.

After all, it wasn't often that they had an excuse to stay indoors. The snow was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because Roman, Patton and Thomas all adored the snow and would spend hours playing it, leaving plenty of peaceful time for the lovebirds. A curse because it was freezing and after the three had finished playing in the snow, Virgil and Logan were forced to warm them up and take care of them.

But it was worth it.

Virgil snapped out of his reverie, directing his attention back to Logan who had just turned the page and was furrowing his brow at the fact that the protagonist had just made one of the most stupid decisions possible. He groaned in frustration, placing down the book.

Logan turned around so that he was facing Virgil who was watching amused at his frustration. Rolling his eyes elegantly, he gently flicked his lover's forehead, resulting in the most adorable pout to appear on Virgil's face.

"Babe," he whined, "what was that for?"

"This is not amusing, love. The protagonist appears to have no common sense and it is causing a great deal of exasperation."

There was that adorable pout again. "Aw, do you want me to kiss it away?"

"Would that be an excuse to kiss me?"

"...Maybe."

Chuckling softly, Logan leaned up (since he was still the little spoon) to let their lips connect just long enough for Virgil to respond. He pulled away, letting a smile fall onto his face.

"You don't need an excuse to kiss me."

Despite the white foundation and the poor lighting provided by the fire, Logan could still see a pink tinge flush over his now embarrassed lover's face.

"I'll never understand how you can say that stuff with such a straight face." Virgil admitted, a smile making its way into his face as well.

"I love you and I wish to express it appropriately."
