I don't even know how this is gonna go. I'm literally just letting my writing flow.

NOTE FROM FUTURE ME: HAVE TISSUES ON STANDBY. YOU WILL CRY. THIS IS SAD AF. Not angst technically, but SAD.

I'm rushing this chapter cause I know I won't have time in the next few days, so I'm trying to get this done late.

Note is at the bottom!

"Patton. May I speak with you privately for a moment?"

"Hm? Sure!" Patton smiled, "Where do you wanna talk, kiddo?"

In his peripheral vision, Logan caught Virgil giving him a knowing look. "Perhaps my room?"

"Sure, why not?"

~~~~~~~~~~
Logan shut the door behind him, his expression filled with badly stifled nervousness. He felt his palms clam up as he faced Patton, who looked at him in concern.
"Kiddo? Is everything okay?"
"I... um. I-I just...uh," Logan ran a shaky hand through his newly-dyed purple hair.
It wasn't often that he stumbled over his words, and it caused Patton's face to crease with more worry. "Hey. We both know whatever you say, I'll be accepting of, right? You can tell me anything you want. I promise things won't be as bad as you think they'll be."
"I, um," Logan cleared his throat, "I am aware of that fact. However, asking a father for their son's hand in marriage is never an easy task."
Patton froze. "...how did you find out that I was his father?"
"It'd been a suspicion for a while. It was only after I spoke about it with Virgil that the theory was confirmed. After all, you are the embodiment of Thomas' emotions. It would only make sense for the embodiment of Thomas' negative emotions to be your son."
"He finally told someone, huh? I'm glad. I'm so, so glad." He sat down on the logical trait's bed, tears leaking from his eyes. He didn't even bother wiping them away, a proud smile on his face.
"May I ask why?" Logan sat tentatively next to him, awkwardly patting him on the back in an attempt to comfort him.
"Did he tell you why we've kept it a secret?" Logan shook his head, "Virgil... when he was first around, none of you guys really like him. And to be honest...neither did he. He was so insecure about himself, and the way he was treated didn't help either."
Logan felt his heart stop for a second. Patton continued, looking down at his hands. "And he knew how well the three of us got along. You, me, and Roman. And so, my poor angel thought he would drag my name down. He didn't want to be the burden. He felt ashamed of himself and didn't want to make any of you guys hate me. So when he peaked as 'Anxiety', he took me to his room and thanked me for everything I'd done for him. He told me he loved me and that we were still family, but it was because of that he was pulling away."
