Ship: Prinxiety
TW: Swearing
Strangely enough, I actually haven't done this ship in a while. I try my best to be as diverse as I can with my ships, so I was pretty surprised when I noticed.
Okay, so. I've been on a pretty creative streak recently, so I've got quite a few ideas that I can write, which I'm really excited about.
But let's just see how this chapter goes for now, huh?
ALSO, I AM SO SORRY THAT THIS CHAPTER IS LATE. I KNOW, I AM LITERALLY THE WORLD PERSON IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD. I LITERALLY CAN'T STAY ON SCHEDULE, UGH!
Kill me. Please.
Note is at the bottom!
"Ah, gentleman, could I please borrow Virgil for a moment?" His voice was sickly sweet. Suspiciously polite in a way.
The four traits' chatter dissipated as they considered his words. They exchanged uneasy glances before Virgil quietly stood up from the couch. He padded over to Deceit in his usual slouched posture, but something about it was tense.
Logan picked up on it immediately.
Virgil was an avid believer of the fact that it was a waste of energy to maintain good posture. Despite disagreeing, Logan knew he wouldn't be able to persuade him otherwise. Eventually, his slouched posture eventually became a norm. So the slightest change in it set off warning bells in Logan's mind.
He kept his mouth shut until Deceit and Virgil had made it into Virgil's room. But once the door shut, he turned to Roman and Patton who seemed to have picked up on it as well. Nodding to each other, they silently stood up and rushed to the door, making sure to keep their footsteps quiet.
They made sure to slow their running before they got too close to the door; any indication of sound would just make the two suspicious. Gently, they pressed their ears against the door to listen in on the muffled conversation.
"Why are you lying to yourself, V?"
"You don't have the right to call me that. Not anymore."
"What? My only aim was to protect you. I do not comprehend why you would hold a grudge over my good intentions."
"Bullshit," he hissed and Roman placed a hand over Patton's mouth to stop him from instinctively reprimanding the language.
They heard Deceit click his tongue before the conversation got significantly quieter. They could barely hear him.
"C'mon Virgil, we both know they're lying to you. If-"
"Shut the fuck up. They are not. They're more loyal than you have ever been."
A scoff. "You don't belong with them. They're just being polite. They're just using you. Come back to the Subscape with me. You'll be happier and safer there."
"No. I'm not going back there. I am a Main Trait. My place is here, at the Mindscape. Not the Subscape."
"You were never meant to be a Main Trait. You should've been a Sub Trait. You were never meant to be noticed." Deceit said, so calmly that Roman, Patton, and Logan shivered.
