"So over to the crowning, first we call on Lady Guinevere of Gibeon",Sybille the king chief advisor said.

Lady Guinevere came out and knelt

"Since you stepped into the palace. You proved to be a maiden of value. Courageous, soft spoken and wise. So with that we name you her worship lady Guinevere of the 5th rank consort", he said and handed her a bronze sceptre.

"I humble myself in thy sovereignty presence",she said and walk back to her sit admist clapping.

"Next lady Anyang of ammonite".

With fear lady Anyang came out. She could swear that her heart missed a beat as she knelt before the king.

"You proved yourself as a maiden worth of emulation. Your courage and self esteem. You are known for your witness and for that you are hereby named your worship lady Anyang of the 4th rank consort", he said as her handed her a silver sceptre.

With tears in her eyes lady Anyang said, "I humble myself in thy sovereignty presence".

"I call on Lady Jeri jin of Canaan". Sybille said.

Lady Jeri jin walked out with fear. She is the last person who should be rewarded.

"You have proved to be of good characters, and moral upbringing and for that we name you her worship Lady Jeri jin of the 3rd rank consort",he handed her a gold sceptre .

With shock she responded, "I humble myself in thy sovereignty presence".

"And finally. Lady Melanie of Greece please step forward".

With pride Melanie came out. There were tears in her eyes as she stepped forward. She didn't expect the king to reward her. She thought he hated her, I mean he always reject her and everything she those.

"Lady Melanie. Your intelligence and beauty have captured our hearts. Since the first day you entered this palace you have proved to be of good characters and social values. For which you have proved yourself worthy of being her worship Lady Melanie 1st rank consort", he gave her a diamond sceptre.

Lady Melanie couldn't believe her eyes or ears. Never in her life have she ever being rewarded so much.

Nephrite heart started beating fast. All the maidens have being rewarded. Her eyes became filled with tears, she was suppose to be crowned Queen, Sybil looked at nephrite tears in her eyes, if someone told her that nephrite won't be crowned Queen today she would have murdered the person but now it have come to pass.

Empress Avanti jeered at Sybil. Then eyed nephrite she was so happy Nephrite was not crowned.

King Nebuchadnezzar Looked at Sybille and nodded. Sybille Looked back at everyone congratulating the maidens that were crowned today. He looked at nephrite she was smiling at Jeri Jin who was showing her her sceptre.

He motioned to an eunuch. "Everyone silence!!!",the eunuch said. The palace became like graveyard.

"Someone amongst us have not yet being crowned"-he looked around as everyone looked shocked -"Lady Nephrite of media please step forward".

Nephrite looked around, everyone was staring at her. Slowly she stood up. Surely they want to pass judgement on her for the suppose stealing.

Slowly she walked forward, she dare not look at the king. She knelt and waited for the punishment. What will it be? Publicly flogged? Lions den? Hanging? Burnt in hot oil? No!!! Burning furnace!!! She gripped her saree. Please God help her....

"Lady Nephrite on the first day you stepped into the palace. You proved your strength and ability. Your wisdom and craftiness. Your beauty and purity as the jadeite river"-

Nephrite wondered why she was being praised? She prayed he go faster to her punishment.

"As the King's betroth and soon to be bride, you shall be known as your Grace lady Nephrite 2nd rank consort of the royal court and head of the Harlan after the khan, empress and chief dual", he said and handed her an emerald sceptre.

Nephrite hands shook as she took the sceptre. Her eyes were filled with tears, she bit her lips and said, "I humble myself in thy sovereignty presence". Slowly she walked to her seat.

Sybil rushed to her and hugged her as everyone clapped and cheered. Kitana was the most excited of it all. She kept hugging Nephrite. There were tears in Nephrite and Sybil eyes but it was not tears of sadness but joy.

The celebration resumed again, servants came in with drinks in golden goblets. Everyone was in festive mood as they drank and ate.

King Nebuchadnezzar was bored stiff. He watched nephrite all through the event. He was happy that she is happy. He looked over to Sybille, he too was smiling at the newly crowned royalties.

Nebuchadnezzar swore he would fall asleep on the throne, he blink away sleep and stood up. No one noticed him because they were busy celebrating. Guinevere looked up and saw the king walking down the emerald stairs in all his majesty and glory. "Your sovereignty",she say and bow.

On by one everyone bowed and stood up. Empress Avanti was on her feet as the king stood up.

Nebuchadnezzar ignored everyone's stare and stopped in front of Nephrite. He smile inwardly at himself, his Queen. Nephrite bowed immediately, she dare not look into his brown eyes.

"Walk with me jadeite".

Nephrite looked up and stare at the king outstretched hand. She look into his eyes,it held no emotion of any kind. The entire palace was very quiet, all eyes were on nephrite. She bowed and put her little hand in his rather large but soft own.

Nebuchadnezzar tightened his grip on nephrite hand and led her out. They walk out with their entourages behind them.........

Melanie eyes became filled with tears, once again the king have embarrassed her. Even when nephrite was accused of theft he still favored her. He made her 1st in command after the imperial majesties,yet he still took her with him leaving her in shame.

Empress Avanti swore nephrite used charm on the king, Nebuchadnezzar she knows will never touch a woman or even look her twice, to him woman don't even exist although he respects them a lot but since he met nephrite he is willing to exit the throne for her........

Note - so the king knew Nephrite didn't steal the necklace that was why he honored her so. And he still had it in mind to crown her Queen but chose to wait.....
