Queen of Babylon, about a strong woman who must possess all the skills of a leader. A woman who must have the will, power and authority to Tame the greatest king who ever ruled, and to manage the great kingdom of Babylon to prevent it ruin.....
The golden sun rays flow over Babylon signalling a new day. In the lower town the subjects hurry about going about their business. In the market large stalls were already open. Slaves and laborers alike resumed their work. Dogs chased cats Around the street.
Children run around playing as their mothers call out to them in loud voice. The soldiers and patrol guards were already patrolling round the kingdom. Servants hurried around doing their chores, it indeed was a busy day for the Babylonians.
The palace shone with great beauty as the sun lit the precious stones used to adorn the palace wall. The jade river that flow around the kingdom and its neighboring countries made loud sound as the waves roll up. The serene was peaceful and the fresh scent of the morning flowers made it perfect.
King Nebuchadnezzar was seated in his council room with his Army general Nebuzaradan, his royal advisor Sybille and prime minister of the kingdom Taoflat. They were giving the kingdom reports of the affairs of the lower kingdom tributes.
In his hand was a scroll which he studied as they talked, while they discuss the royal herald Hobos entered with a bow.
"A letter from the Harlan",he announced with his head bowed. Sybille collects the letter with a bow he opens it and read 'on the forth night, his sovereignty majesty is asked to grace the banquet".
"Your presence will be highly appreciated, your sovereignty",Taoflat says with a bow. "Very well make it noted",Nebuchadnezzar said and stood up, they all bow in respect as he took his leave with his entourage.
"The most beautiful thing in the palace??? How will you find it!!! The palace is filled with beautiful things",alias murmurs. Nephrite sigh, Melanie has over done everything now. Alias is right how will she find the most beautiful thing in the palace.
Melanie banquet is due for tonight and she has to find the most beautiful thing in the palace. Nephrite frown as she stood up and walked out of her quarters into the open garden, she admired the flowers all around.
The sight was so beautiful, she smile and walked further into the garden with only Sigma and Alias standing few feet away from her.
Nephrite picked up a rose and inhaled the scent, she sigh as she remembered how she and her mother used to run around the garden singing and dancing barefooted.
Even if nephrite was enjoying the serene, her mind was still in what the sorceress told her about a killer in the palace.
"Is your grace alright?",alias ask bowing. Nephrite ignores her and bends to pick a flower when she heard the bush shakes.
In split seconds alias and sigma runs to her side, sigma sword already out. "Your grace.......",
"Shush!",she silent alias. Nephrite walks nearer and waited for whatever shook the bush to come out. A peacock came out from under the grass. Nephrite gasp. It is the most beautiful creature she has ever seen. The bird stared at her and it was like they shared a heart sync.
"Put the sword down sigma. You are frightening it",she whispered to sigma whose sword was still drawn out. Sigma obeyed and put the sword in its scabbard but still kept an open eye for any danger.
Nephrite took slow steps toward the creature. "Your grace",alias calls scared. Nephrite ignores her and keep walking to the animal. The peacock redraw back then walk to her. Nephrite smile and held he right hand out to the creature.
The creature bows down at her feet and she gently rubbed its head smiling. "Its not harmful,come",she told sigma and alias who looked on doubtfully.

Nephrite rubs the peacock head. She was in love with it already. Her servants came closer but didn't touch the animal. As they watch the peacock a servant announced Sybil presence. They bowed at the chief dual.
"I see you found it",Sybil says pointing at the peacock. Nephrite nods. "It belonged to the late queen Amtrak. After her death it roamed the palace refusing to be kept",Sybil explained.
"Why haven't anyone taken it?", Nephrite ask stroking the peacock that now had it head on her lap.
"The King ordered it left since it does listen to anyone. It stays in the garden all day",Sybil answered.
"I want it. I want to keep it as my pet", Nephrite announce. Sybil smile. "This bird has never neared anyone before but it seems like it chose you".
"Where will you keep it your grace?",alias ask still scared.
"It shall be kept in my quarters, it shall be my symbol and sign. It shall be mine", Nephrite said with pride, the peacock gave her a new kind of strength, courage and pride.
"Wise choice Nephrite, keeping a peacock comes with a great responsibility which i dont doubt you can't handle",Sybil says smiling at nephrite, she is slowly becoming what she is meant to be. A queen.
"What name shall it be called with?",sigma ask.
"Jade. It shall be known as jade", Nephrite said rubbing the bird feathers. Her pet and symbol. As the great jade kingdom.......

Many dignitaries arrived from different part of Babylon for lady Melanie's feast. Melanie was dressed in the best of silk and gold. She really hoped to God that it would be a success and she prayed nephrite did not come with what was asked of her.
This will be her chance to disgrace her in front of the whole court, Melanie smile as she was led to her carriage with her entourage behind her.
She was met by all the other maids who brought different things to make her feast the best one yet. She received each gift with scorn and pride.
"Her imperial majesty Empress Avanti!!!!!", an herald announce.
Lady Melanie smile and bows as the empress smile. "Am honored to have you here your majesty",Melanie says bowing again. Empress Avanti grins, "is nephrite here?",she ask looking around.
"Not yet your majesty. But am sure she will be put to shame",Melanie said and they shared a knowing smile. They talked for some time before Melanie took the empress hand and both went to talk to the guests that arrived with presents.....
