"Her grace Lady Nephrite!"the herald announce and nephrite walked in with her retinue. She bows as she stood before the king.

"Two weeks ago lady Nephrite was missing and declared dead only for her to return three days ago with the claim of being poisoned by someone here in the palace", Sybil stopped and face Nephrite who looked away, "my lady before the king and all the supreme Court tell us who tried to kill you".she said.

Nephrite sigh and glance around the room. Empress Avanti and Melanie were both smirking. Sasimoru and queen Anambika were fretting.

She looked back at the king who had no expression on his face.

"My liege thank you for the honor of pointing out my killers"she pause. "The person in question is the least expected and...........".

"Go straight to the point"empress Avanti snaps.

"Don't cut her short!"Nebuchadnezzar fires back. 

"Forgive me your sovereignty"empress a Avanti bows.

The king waves her away. "Go on"he orders.

"Before i was pushed off the lake i was in combat with the person but i manage to mark the person"Nephrite said.

"Liar how do you prove it???!!"queen Anambika shouted.

Nephrite laugh. The queen don't know she's digging her and her accomplice grave. Only if Anambika knew that she left her teeth mark on Sasimoru hand then she won't demand proof. 

  "The person is none other than"Nephrite stops and slowly turns to Sasimoru.  "Her!".

Sasimoru jerks up immediately but was being seized by Talhum and sigma who holds her down and brings her to her knees.

Empress avanti seize her left hand revealing teeth marks. Collective gasps.

Sybil slaps Sasimoru hard on the face making her fall. "How dare you??? How dare you try to kill the king's betroth????".

"Forgive me your sovereignty! It was never my motive!"Sasimoru begs crying hard.

Nebuchadnezzar has never been more angrier in his life. Kill his heart? His Nephrite?

Sasimoru crawls to nephrite and held her feet.  "Please nephrite spare me! Please ill leave the palace and never return. Please"she cried.

Nephrite looked away with a straight face. She looks at Anambika who was shaking at were she sat.

Nebuchadnezzar stood up and all talking stopped.  "Why did you do it?"he ask simply.

"Because your sovereignty i love you and............".

Sybil slaps her again. "Love???? Do you know what is love?????".

"Sybil?"Nephrite holds her hand.  

"You tried to kill my betroth? And you call it love??"the king ask again.

"What does she have that i don't? What does she do that i can't do better??? Am i not beautiful my lord? Am i am a woman in every way? Why her? Why only her?????"Sasimoru asked shouting, she was already at the king's feet.

She shook it without even thinking.  The king guards held her back.  "My lord you can't........."

"Silence!!!!!!!!"king Nebuchadnezzar shouted and it became dead silent.

"I will not tolerate blasphemy and blood shed. I also will not go back on my law"he turn to Sybille."Sybille?".

"Yes great one?".

"What is the punishment for attempted murder?"he ask.

"Death, great one"Sybille bows slightly.

"Throw her in the burning furnace"Nebuchadnezzar says and walk back to his throne.

Sasimoru cried out in a loud voice. "My queen save me please!!! My lord please!!! Save me please!!!!!"she shouts as the soldiers drag her out of the palace.

Everyone hurried out in fear hearing the king decree, its been ages since he had someone thrown there now for a maiden.

"Anambika".Nebuchadnezzar calls as she was about to walk out.  "You should burn in that fire with that maiden you brought here but because you are of my blood i will let you live. Return back to Persia and never return till i ask of you"he said.

Anambika fall on her knees. Her nephew whom she took care of just dismissed her? She look at her mother who shook her head in disbelieve.

Grandma khan in shock never would have thought her own daughter would try to hurt her own nephew's betroth? Anambika walked out head hung low in shame.

Nephrite also left the palace, she was certain that the day would be a black one as a maiden was to be burnt alive but she was not willingly to let it ruin her day. She turned to Talhum.

"Talhum?".

"Yes your grace?".

"Send for asjink. It's high time he was honored"she said and resumed walking. Talhum bows and went to do her bid.

Anambika fall at her mother's feet. "Mother?".

Grandma khan slapped her hard with tears in her eyes.  "If not that your brother is dead i would have disowned you!!! Curse be the day you stepped your feet in this palace and i welcomed you"the Khan said with anguish and pain.

"Mother..........................."

"Be sure i never see you here. You only return when nephrite becomes queen if not i must never see you again till i die!"Khan spat at her and walked out. Anambika broke down and cried. Sybil walked in.

"What more do you want? Power???? Control???"she ask. "You have it all as queen of Persia you have all the power yet you chose to kill your own nephew's betroth?".

"I was corrupted and blinded. Please forgive me"Anambika whispered.

Sybil scoff. "Look where it led you! Anambika return back to Persia and try. Pray the king forgives you"she walk out.

Anambika cried out, Sybil is right if not her greed she won't be in this type of dilemma now, she cursed the day Sasimoru came to her and promised her the throne of Babylon, had she known she would have been nice to the media princess.

Had she known she won't be in this type of situation. Anambika knew she has no choice than to pack and leave Babylon. She only hope her nephew forgives her.
