37- QUEEN OF BABYLON

As fourth kingdom to Babylon not only did kingdom get promoted but also the maiden. Nephrite was promoted to a new quarters since her kingdom was made fourth ranked she was also to enjoy privileges

Nephrite was to move to another quarters within the palace. As normal maiden she stayed outside the main palace but this time she was to stay in the quarters within the King's courtyard. You can imagine the great honor and also envy and jealousy from other maidens.

The quarters Nephrite was taken to was known as Aghet pavilion and was the most decorated maiden quarters. The pavilion had everything the Harlan had privately.

And its own servants and guards. It was sited not far from the emerald city where the king quarters was.

  Since she was to live in the Aghet pavilion nephrite had access to the temple, the palace everything only the king's quarters was not open to her. It was like she was now queen of Babylon.

Nephrite thanked her God for elevating her this way.

Nephrite and her entourages were taking a stroll to through the gardens when someone announced the another maiden presence. Nephrite kept a straight face as the maiden approached her.

"I wanted to congratulate you on your new promotion,your grace"Sasimoru said bowing.  Nephrite scoffs.  "You didn't have to"she replied.

"Oh but i had to. Its only right and besides its customary"Sasimoru said smiling shyly.  She actually wanted to see the maiden who had the King's favors. She had heard a lot about nephrite the maiden who was accused of theft and was not sent out.

The maiden who got two other maiden sent out because of her.    "I look forward to spending time with you"Sasimoru said again raising her brows.

Nephrite nods. "I hope so too"she reply.  Sasimoru laughs.  "You are indeed humble. I have heard a lot about you"she said still laughing.  Nephrite smile.

"Have you now?? But am sincerely hoping they are good things"nephrite ask. 

"Don't worry now your grace be sure they are good"Sasimoru said unable to know if the maiden was shaken but she don't except a woman like nephrite to be shaken.

Their chit chat was cut short when the Harlan's messenger Mayan, he bowed before the women.

  "The khan request the lady Nephrite presence in the royal Harlan"he said still bowed.

"Thank you Mayan ill be there"Nephrite said with pride. She smirk at Sasimoru then follow the messenger away.  

Nephrite stepped in and found Sybil, Grandma khan and queen Anambika seated in a round table drinking tea. A herald announce her presence.

"Come in my dear"grandma Khan says smiling. Nephrite smile and bow. "Thank you your imperial Majesties for this great honor"she say.

Sybil laughs, "please sit nephrite"she commands. Nephrite sat down and watch them. "Let me do the honor of pouring you tea"queen Anambika said facing the maiden.

Nephrite swallowed, the Queen's eye only could make her melt, she wondered of the woman ever smile or laugh.

She raised the cup as the woman poured her hot tea, she bowed and sipped praying its not poisoned.

"So i hear you are my nephew king Nebuchadnezzar betroth?"queen Anambika say more like ask.

Nephrite nod,"yes your majesty".

"You must be wondering who i am right?"Anambika ask.

Nephrite didn't know maybe to sag yes or no because she barely care about the queen but her mission.
