A Joy Beyond Limit

Toby and Matthew continued with their topic. Meanwhile, Mandy, Toby's seatmate, overpowers her voice on them as she talks to Gwen. Toby got disturbed so he and Matt went on the corner of the classroom and they continued. Toby asked, "Are you really going to take the risk?". "Yeah. All my fault. I will be patient if she wants time." Matthew said. Toby paused for a bit as he thinks of what to do to solve his lovely problem.

"You said you're going to be patient as if time will come for her to love you back eh?" Toby asked.

"I am not sure of that either but if she rejects, man that shouldn't be..." Matt said sadly.

"That's why I'm here to help ya bro. That's what bros are for, right?".

"Thanks again. There's no guarantee but if this works I'll thank you with all my being."

"There are only two things I want you to do in exchange for my voluntary help."

"I will do anything. Go ahead."

"First of all, take care of her. Whatever misunderstandings that hinders your relationship always take the pain. The most important is that you understand her, trust her, and have faith in God that she will never fade away."

"Don't worry. I have no intention of hurting her."

" The other one is that you should change your judgemental ways. It kinda makes people hate you more."

"I'll try to control it. It is already in my blood."

"I will remind you whenever you're doing it again. I observed you became quite optimistic when you tried to bring her back."

"Okay. Thank you once again."

"No problem, brother."

After they talked, their teacher came inside their classroom. Their teacher announced to the class that they are going to have a quiz by pair where the students get to choose their own partner. They are 43 in the whole class but one is absent so an even numbering would be a no problem. Toby quickly looked at Matt to improve further their friendship, but he was already picked up by someone else. He looked at Greg. He was also chosen. He looked at David. He was also picked. Just as he was about to give up, Mandy asked if he could pair up with her. Toby accepted.

"I didn't review that much." Toby said.

"It's alright. I know we can handle this. I reviewed a little." Mandy said.

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"Okay class number one, what is..

." The teacher said.

After the quiz, they were asked to check their own papers. Greg and his partner, Kelly got two mistakes only. While Matt and Jane got three mistakes. Their teacher asked the score of Toby and Mandy. They said that they got it perfectly.

"Told ya, we got all of his questions." Mandy said with a smile.

"Haha about what I said a while back that I didn't review, man I'm just kidding!" Toby joked.

"You made me a bit nervous when you said you didn't review."

"Of course I'm always prepared hahahaha!"

"You're really smart to make me believe that hahaha I guess it's worth a try."

Greg looked at Toby with a cold look. Mandy observed it and she told Toby to look at Greg. Toby knew that he was just kidding at that look. Toby gave him a stupid look. He was disgusted.

It was friday that time when Toby thought that he had the right time to be at peace especially he caused some trouble in their class last time. Now he has no one to bother him with bullying. He knew that he has to change himself while there's still time. Mandy was one of the very bullied ones so he knew by starting to help her, he will change.

Two days later at night when he started to chat her if she's okay. Then she wondered since Toby was in the group that they were still bugging her. Toby replied that they don't and they won't. Mandy didn't agree to what Toby said.

"I am definetly sure that they are still bullying me with those glaring eyes!" Mandy chatted with grief.

"Then why bother to ask if you think you know?" Toby asked.

"You started to chat with me." Mandy said.

"I was just asking if you're already okay."

"No, I am not okay and I will never be unless they prove that they changed!"

"They are now."

"I still can't see it!"

"Did I trigger your anger when I asked that you're okay?"

"I'm not mad!"

"Don't worry, I can stand against them if you were bullied again. Even I find our group to be abusive ever since I started to realize."

"They can't change me now."

Toby did his best to comfort her. She was almost out of control. He was doing this because he was comforted by her when he was struggling for Natalie. They talked in hours until she seemed to calm down. She thanked Toby.

It was the night where Toby thought that he realized that there are still many good souls to be with. For him, it was the best moments in his life so far. He couldn't sleep well because of what happened. He knew that he will enter to the world where someone should be very happy.
