The Comforts of a New Family

Toby went to the chapel with his altar server attire to serve the Lord. He got to talk with Dave that they will serve. While wearing their own sotanna and surplace, Dave asked Toby.

"Dude, may I bother you with something?"

"Yea what is it?" Toby asked.

"It's about Mandy." Dave replied.

"Go ahead."

"I mean, I saw her dancing with another man."

"Dude that's normal. I mean we get to dance random people right?"

"No, two songs had passed but they were still dancing together I mean no change of partners, much longer than yours..."

"Oh, continue."

"They disobeyed the dance rules where they need to have a bit of distance."

"Did they...?"

"They're closer... I really didn't want to hurt you brother it's just that I can't let that kept being a secret just for you to be temporarily satisfied... I'm really sorry."

"It's fine... Thank you..."

"I hope this doesn't affect our friendship."

"Ofcourse it won't..."

"By the way who'll be using the thurible?"

"Dunno... Maybe others..."

"Oh okay then..."

They went at the front of the chapel while waiting for the priest. David observed that Toby became gloomy from the procession of the mass until the end. He tried to ask about it but he didn't want to as it will even remind him. He tapped his shoulder and said, "I hope you'll be okay soon."

They went inside the chapel to listen to their adviser. After the meeting, Dave asked Toby.

"Want to have lunch outside with Greg?"

"Not now..." Toby replied.

"Oh... okay then. We're always there for you Toby..."

"Thanks Dave..."

Toby went home. His mom was surprised that he came home early. He went to his bedroom and browsed his newsfeed. All he can see was all about prom, their dresses, suits, pics with their dance partners, with boyfriends, etc.

He became more depressed when Mandy chatted him that their dance photo can't be her profile picture as her mom chooses hers. Juliet eventually chatted Toby.

"Hi, how are you?" Juliet greeted.

"Hello... Not really..." Toby answered.

"Why?"

"Nothing..."

"Say it please?"

"When the right time comes..."

"There are no right time, every moment is right. So please do tell."

"About last night..."

"Why will you be depressed at the very important night of everyone's lives? Weird."

"I'm not talking about the night literally. I'm talking about Mandy..."

"Oohh... Just explain tomorrow because I forgot I needed to do something. Well, goodluck with your problem."

"Thanks..."

After chatting with Juliet, Toby tried to take a nap. He is about to close his eyes but his phone vibrated. It was from Alessa chatted Toby from facebook.

"How's your dance with Mandy? Is it good?" Alessa asked.

"Yeah..." Toby replied.

"Yay!! I hope you two couples will get even more better. Bye!"

"I really hope so..."

His phone vibrated again with a chat coming from Molly right after Alessa chatted with Toby.

"You didn't dance me last night. >:(" Molly complained.

"Sorry... You were too busy dancing with other boys sooo..."

"Nevermind. Sorry for interrupting."

"It's alright..."

"What's with those three dots? You sound depressed."

"Nothing really..."

"I hope you get well with those three-dot syndrome you got lol."

"Thanks... -_-"

Toby then logged out from facebook. He realized that the three of them chatted him cosecutively. Is that a coincidence? He wondered about it. As he thinks about it, he is falling asleep. He slept. He woke up in the afternoon.

He remembered of the coincidence a while back. Maybe those four are his true happiness? Dave, Jules, Alessa, and then Molly or maybe even the cause of something? He tried to chat them all in one group chat. Sadly, no one was online but him alone. He greeted everyone with hello.
