You placed the last stocking on the fireplace, smiling at the fact that you were finally done decorating the area.

Annabeth had assigned both you and Percy to the Big House but so far you were the only one in the room. Percy had said something about getting a tree about two hours ago and he still was gone.

As soon as you thought about the boy, he walked in holding a tray full of steaming drinks. You turned around to look at him, one eyebrow raised in question.

"Where's the tree, Percy?" You asked, placing both your hands on your hips. At the sound of your voice, Percy jumped, almost spilling the drink he was taking a sip out of.

He glanced over at you, noticing your stony glare at him. Percy smiled sheepishly before offering you a cup from the tray.

"If you don't tell Annabeth about this, you can have this (hot drink) for free," He said, hoping to bribe you. To be honest, it worked and you snatched the cup before he could take it back.

"My lips are sealed," You responded, taking a few sips of the hot liquid inside. It sent a wave of warmth through your body, replacing whatever chill Percy had brought in with him.

Before the two of you could enjoy your drinks, Jason came running in. He slammed the door close and leaned on it, catching his breath. He looked over at you and gave a weak smile.

"Hey guys," Jason said, his breathing coming under control slowly. "How's decorating going?"

You took a long sip of your drink, Percy doing the same as both of you looked over at the blond.

"We're doing good," You said after a few moments of silence. "What about you Jason?"

He just waved off your question and approached the table where the drinks that Percy brought in were located.

"Oh, it's nothing. Just Annabeth yelling at Leo, you know, normal things," Jason answered, picking up the cup that was labeled 'Earl Gray'.

"What did he do this time?" Percy asked, already finished his drink. Percy could only imagine what Leo did this time. Nothing surprised the demigods these days when it came to the Hephaestus boy.

"He lit one of the extra trees on fire so we're down a tree," Jason said, shrugging at the situation. It seemed like he didn’t care but you could see the fear in his eyes.

You brought your cup to your lips once again as you side eyed Percy who became frozen.

"Guess you better go get a tree, huh Percy?" You said, smirking behind your cup.

Percy set down his empty cup and patted his pockets, making sure he had both his keys and wallet.

"I'll be back!" Percy exclaimed, jumping out of the window you had opened earlier in the day.

"Why didn't he use the door?" Jason asked, turning to look at you as if you had the answer.

You sighed and shook your head. "I don't know Jason. I really don't know with him anymore."

Jason simply nodded. The two of you stood there in silence, occasionally drinking your drinks before they got cold.

"Oh, by the way, Rachel needs you. Something about decorating her cave," Jason said, breaking the comfortable silence.
