ASH'S P.O.V.

The guys just finished preforming their Stevie Wonder songs. They all did so good! Jeremy got the harshest  feedback, but he's so sweet, I think America is going to fall in love with him.

Ryan closed the show and Colton came back stage giving me a huge bear hug. "You did great." I said pulling out of his embrace. "Thank you. Do you want To go out to dinner tonight?" he asked.

Just as he said that Phillip was walking up behind him, "Yeah sure where are we going?"

Colton looked at Phillip, "Not you Phillip, I meant Ash."

Phillip shrugged, "I just wanted to be included."

"You can be included when Cari comes to visit so it can be a double date. it would just be weird to have just you, by yourself, tag along on our date." I said as Phillip pouted.

"Now I have to spend the entire night with Whitney."

Whitney arrived next to him, "And what's so bad about that?"

"um you know, because I hate you." Phillip said jokingly.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, We will order pizza. Colton and Ash, you two go on your date." Whitney said as she began To head towards the door.

I smiled, "Bye guys!"

Phillip and Whitney left and Colton grabbed my hand. "Where do you wanna eat?"

I shrugged, "Some place nice."

"Oh yeah, like that place next to that church?"

"Yeah! That one!"

"Perfect," He said kissing my cheek, "I'll drive."

We walked out of the building hand in hand out to our rented van that we've had since Hollywood week.

"You know, this van is growing on me, I think I might keep it even when we get to the mansion." I said getting in the passengers side.

"Yeah, it's like a part of our whole journey." He said turning the keys.

Colton put the van in drive and pulled out of the parking lot, driving towards the restaurant.

I turned on the radio and that song, "Just the way you are" by bruno mars came on.

Colton started singing along while turning To look at me and gesturing in my direction while he sang. I started laughing, "Oh Gosh Colton, when was the last time I told you how much I loved you?"

He laughed as well, "So I'm guessing you like me singing you cheesy love songs, eh?"

"Yup, it was extremely entertaining."

"Oh," he said, "And as for the telling me how much you love me, that was this morning."

I was about to respond when I saw a homeless person on the side of the road, "Colton look." I said pointing to the lady hunched over a shopping cart, "Don't you feel bad seeing that? She's completely penniless and homeless and we are staying in a five star hotel going out to a fancy restaurant."

He shrugged, "Yeah, I guess, I just never really pay attention to those kinds of things."

I nodded, understanding what he was saying.

We stopped at a red light and he rested his arm between our two seats. I reached over and entwined my hand with his.

He smiled a bit and squeezed my hand, as he pressed down on the gas pedal when the light turned green.

I looked at our hands, our skins were both so pale and our fingernails both unpainted.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Colton pulled his hand away to take the keys out of the car when we had arrived at the restaurant.
