"Let him go," I spat as my fur bristled. "Or you'll just regret it!"
Keen was too weak to wiggle or even to bark. He just hung limp and moaning. "You won't ever get him back. How does that make you feel Logan?"
Logan spun around, on edge. "How do you know my name," he asked.
I was more worried about Keen but as soon as I tried to bolt to him and save Keen a large ice block appeared in front of me. I sunk my claws into the ice but they barely made a dent. It was just too thick. I whimpered and turned to Logan who's eyes were narrowed to slits. He padded to the ice and rested a hand against it.
"How do you know my name," asked Logan as anger rang in his voice.
"Come on," called Poultice as he darted toward me and pushed his head against my chest. He whimpered and his eyes were wild as he caught sight of Keen hanging limply from the man's grasp. "We have to go."
"He's right," Bobby shouted as he continued to make the ice block thicker and larger. "We have to go Logan."
Logan still seemed reluctant but he wasn't about to argue with any of us. "Fine," he spat before he turned and bolted with me following. Poultice brought up the rear but he tripped on some ice and I turned.
I saw in horror as bright red lights gleamed on the other side of the ice. They were going to blow the ice away! I yelped and picked up Poultice by the scruff. Poultice scrambled a bit in fear in my mouth but I wasn't going to let him stay behind with Keen or he would be killed. I then dropped Poultice on the ground with his legs sprawled.
"We have to go," I barked as I pointed my muzzle toward where the rest of the group had gone.
Poultice looked up with sad eyes and looked like he wanted to argue but he thought better of it. He pushed himself to his paws and surged forward. I shadowed him and I heard the ice give way. I braced myself and darted after Logan. Yet this was what happened when I was the teacher. The Professor was going to kill me.
