Hermione kept poking at her pancake with an almost sad expression plastered over her face. "I'm not really that hungry, I'll see you guys later okay?" She said standing up placing her dishes on the counter.

I excused myself and quickly followed after her. Once we were out of hearing range I spoke up "Hermione wait". Before facing me she wiped her eye, was she crying? "Are you okay?" I asked gently.

She nodded "Yeah I'm just stressed about the wedding and Voldemort and everything". I could've sworn she glanced at her stomach, my eyes following her gaze. I gave a knowing look and pulled her into a hug.

"It'll be okay I promise". She hesitated at first but hugged back nodding her head

"I know" she mumbled. After a moment she broke the hug "I really have to go, keep this between us okay? " I nodded watching as Hermione left the manor. I headed to one of the lounges plopping onto the couch and turning on the tv. Nothing was on so I decided to watch some old Disney movies from my childhood. As the end credits of the lion king 2 began to play Draco walked in sitting beside me he let out a deep sigh.

"Whats going on with Hermione?". Slightly changing positions to face him

"Why would I know?" I asked innocently. Draco let out a frustrated groan now standing

"Come on don't play dumb with me, I know you talked to her after you left breakfast this morning. Even if you hadn't gone after her you're a legimness no one in this bloody house can keep a secret from you." He was almost yelling but not quite. Slightly raising my voice

"So what if I do know it's not my place to tell, this is between you and Hermione."Clearly angry that I wouldn't tell him what was going off he stormed off like a child who didn't get their way. Draco mumbled under his breath

"That's the last time I bring in some random girl just because she's got a few injuries".

"I heard that" I yelled across the room as he continued walking out.

"Of course you did" he groaned. I smiled slightly turning on another movie. Rolling over I slowly opened my eyes. I must've fallen asleep on the couch, Aladdin playing on TV.

"Gotta steal to eat gotta eat to live tell you all about it when I got the time" I looked at the time and realized it's almost midnight, had I really slept that long? After switching off the tv I headed towards my room.Teddy was running away from Maya trying to get out of going to bed. As he ran past me I swooped him up placing him on my hip.

"What are you doing up so late" I coed tickling his stomach. He giggled trying to get out of my grasp

"stop it Kaywa" he said between laughs. He'd given me the nickname Kaywa a few days ago, I don't know where exactly he got it from when he could simply call me Kay but it's kinda cute.

"He's trying to get out of bedtime" Maya said hands on her hips.

"But I'm not tired" Teddy whined. I turned my head to face Teddy

"What if I told you a bed time story, would you go to sleep then?" I asked. He stopped to think for a moment but agreed. Maya mouthed "Thank you" as I began taking Teddy back to his room. I placed teddy in his bed tucking him in. "Okay what kind of story would you like to hear?" I asked. The small child thought for a moment before speaking up

"I want a story about when you were little like me" he said in a cute voice throwing in a pouty face for good measure.

"Well how could I say no to that face" I said ruffling his hair making him giggle. "Okay well when I was about three my family and I were in the forest studying beasts. I came across a small thunderbird, she was hurt and couldn't find her family. While I kept her calm my father healed her, I got a strange feeling in my head and realized I could hear what she was thinking in a way. I thought maybe it was just something associated with thunderbirds, being able to read their minds. I later found out that was in fact not the case and I was a legimness. After she was better my family stayed nearby for a few weeks so we could make sure she'd be okay on her own. During that time her and I we bonded like nothing I'd ever experienced before and have never experienced since. We had an understanding with each other, knowing when the other needed something and being able to provide it. My parents realized she wouldn't be able to survive on her own not only because of the attachment she had to me but also because she wasn't able to really hunt on her own. If we left her she would've starved or gotten herself killed by another wizard or even worse a muggle" I smiled at the memory realizing how much I missed her, the other beasts and my family.Teddy yawned
