Kings Cross was a mess. People were in huddles everywhere, chatting mostly, but others had teachers with them and were being healed. Solomon rushed off instantly when he saw a girl he knew with McGonagall. Draco recognized Jenna kneeling next to the girl. She spoke of a sister, and the two did look alike though Draco could barely tell as one was covered in blood.
Jack almost took off but Draco grabbed the collar of his cloak before he could. George looked around frantically until his eyes found what they were looking for. He bolted, and Draco followed at a slower pace as he was dragging Jack along with him.
The half of the gang that remained alive and at Hogwarts surrounded the female ginger. She was awake, which meant she was alive obviously, but her head was bleeding majorly. She'd be fine as long as the blood flow stopped quickly.
Potter was sitting right next to her, Draco took note that there was yet to be a ring on Ginny's left hand. Potter wasn't as brave as Draco used to believe, clearly. Longbottom and Luna were sitting by Harry's side, both covered in ash. Actually, now that Draco noticed, everyone was covered in ash.
He couldn't believe he didn't look sooner, but he looked towards the train to see it covered in scorch marks and was still on fire on the inside. What if they were attacked when they were still hours away? How could they have lived for so long on the train as it was on fire?
McGonagall could have easily charmed the train to make it go faster, or could have protected some of the students. But the fire seemed to be too large to have put out. Even temporarily.
"What'd you do!?" Draco yelled at Jack, shoving him into a nearby brick wall, almost hard enough to knock him out, his hair and eyes turned red for a moment, but only for a moment, when he came in a painful contact with the brick wall. Great, a Metamorphmagus.
"I didn't do any of this! Why do you think I showed up at your doorstep!? I'm on the run from them too!" Jack yelled. Draco was taken by surprise for a moment. Which was a accident he realized when he was kicked in between the legs and Jack escaped his grasp.
Draco groaned in pain and ran after him, but lost him after only a few moments. He must have been a skilled Metamorphmagus if he could disappear into a crowd that quickly. Draco cursed under his breath, but luckily he was a Lynx and this could help him.
Jack had an expensive cologne smell to him. Draco looked around, nobody was focused on him, but to be safe we hid behind a pillar before turning into a lynx. He sense of smell was great in human from, but in animal form, his sense of smell was so strong he could almost see the scents in the air.
Draco smelled the air and followed the trail as best he could. He ignored the squeals of girls as he passed.
"Kitty!"
"It's so cute!"
"Why's it look so grumpy?"
"Somebody pulled it's tail obviously!"
Draco ignored the obnoxious girls and rolled his eyes at the few words he did catch. He continued on his way until he reached a little room for luggage where he found what he was looking for.
Draco turned into a human, not caring about what Jack knew about him. He most likely already knew that he was an Animagus. Jack was facing away from him, his cloak over his head. Draco walked over to him but let go instantly. Jack turned towards him, his hair changing color rapidly.
Draco was entirely wrong, he wasn't skilled in his ability. Not very much at least. Right now it was changing out of control. His eyes, skin tone, and hair changing color every millisecond. Draco watched for a few moments and before he could grab Jack again, he disappeared.
"Great." Draco muttered to himself. He let it go and found Solomon, still with Jenna and the other girl. Now she was cleaned off well, thanks to Solomon. He could tell that Jenna and the older girl were related in some way.
Speaking of Jenna, when the first year Ravenclaw saw him she wrapped her arms around him.
"This is Stella, Jenna's older sister." Solomon explained for him. Draco nodded and hugged Jenna back. Stella had bright blonde hair, and fair skin. Not pale, but not tan, a perfect in between really.
"Here, lets go somewhere else." Draco whispered to Jenna, the longer she stared at her sister, the worse she probably felt. She nodded.
"Ivan doesn't mess with me anymore." Jenna started small talk to keep her mind off her sister as they began walking away from the train and all it's damaged students.
"That's good. Bet after I got him he learned his lesson." Draco joked, it was worth it, she smiled and nodded. "Hey, did you know anyone named Destiny Minnel?" Draco asked after a moment of silence, he thought before Destiny became whatever she did, or at least before she revealed herself as Destiny Malfoy, she was Destiny Minnel, a first year Ravenclaw if he remembered correctly.
"Oh yeah! She kind of disappeared in the middle of the year though. I haven't seen her since. She was really nice. Brown hair right?" Jenna asked, trying to confirm that who she was thinking was correct.
"Yeah. Brown hair and silver eyes I believe." Draco said, he was trying to remember her before she was all crazy with the bleached blonde hair and grey eyes.
"Yes. If I remember, she was really nice, and smart. She was always good at everything that we did. Ivan came back once after you got rid of him, and only once because somehow Destiny stopped him. Ivan hasn't been the same ever since, he's been, like a zombie." Jenna explained. Solomon called her and got their attention. Stella was awake. Jenna ran over to her sister and hugged her.
Great, now Draco needed to know what Muggles thought Zombies were.
